To me, Joe Alaskey and Maurice LaMarche were the best Yosemite Sams after Mel's death. Bill Farmer did him in Space Jam, and Jeff Bennett in Looney Tunes: Back in Action...no disrespect to Bill or Jeff but neither were very memorable, in my opinion. We'll see how Fred Tatasciore does in the...
And Mel was 80 at the time! Who else can say they've played such legendary TV and film characters for 50 years? I can think of one other person: Caroll Spinney.
Yes! I think Joe was one of the only people to perform one of Mel Blanc's original characters while Mel was still alive (maybe his son Noel Blanc did a few voices here and there too?). This was in 1987 or 1988, right before Mel passed away.
Back in the day, Mel Blanc would record all the other voices for a particular session and save Yosemite Sam's lines for last. He once said of doing Yosemite Sam's voice: "Imagine screaming at the top of your lungs for an hour and a half."
Just found out today that schools in Connecticut will remain closed for the rest of the school year. The earliest that students will return is August. Teachers will be allowed to go back (date TBD) to get extra teaching supplies or anything else they've left behind prior to March 12.
I hope we don't get ditzy Lola again, if she even appears in the new film to begin with. Kristen Wiig is funny, but her brand of humor doesn't quite fit in with the Looney Tunes brand. And who would voice Lola if she wasn't ditzy and awkward? Kath Soucie voiced Lola in the first Space Jam, and...
As much as I'd like to see the sexy Lola again, I wonder if this would this spark backlash for objectifying a female albeit a cartoon character? We didn't have #metoo back in 1996, nor the insane level of PC-ness that dominates film and other media.
Yeah, I gotta say...Eric does a really good Daffy! Pretty good Bugs Bunny voice too.
So I'll revise my ideal voice cast here:
Eric Bauza - Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Pepe Le Pew
Bob Bergen - Porky Pig, Tweety, Speedy Gonzales, and Marvin the Martian (sorry, but I just don't like Eric's...
Do you mean for the original Space Jam film? Maybe that's why Billy West voiced Bugs, and Dee Bradley Baker voiced Daffy in the original.
Joe Alaskey (RIP) was great as Bugs and Daffy, and even did Sylvester, Tweety, Marvin the Martian, and Yosemite Sam a few times if I recall correctly. I...
As someone whose entire childhood was centered around Space Jam, I'm not sure what to make of the fact that characters from other WB franchises will be featured. I was hoping for something featuring only Lebron James and the Looney Tunes...but if Looney Tunes characters aren't as big a draw as...
I joined Instagram a few weeks ago to reconnect with old friends from high school and college, since apparently Facebook is for dinosaurs and Instagram is for "millennials" like me. I reached out to my followers and heard back from most of them! And buckle up your seat belts...
Three of my...
I remember going to Friendly's a few times with my family ('90s kid here). It was a ten-minute drive from our house. I think I usually ate a grilled cheese sandwich or slider, French fries, and ice cream. Looking at the online menu brings back memories of eating a Cone-head sundae with my...
Number 227 features Big Bird, Oscar, Cookie Monster, Bert, David, Bob, and an original character...Bert's sister Brett! Plus, Lefty tries to sell Ernie a scale, Super Grover visits the barber shop, and Chris and the Alphabeats sing "Count It Higher."

How would this person/family interact with their guests or serve the food, drinks, and cake if social distancing restrictions are supposed in effect? Were they wearing masks?
Either this family didn't think this through or they just don't give a **** about COVID-19.
I remember seeing that episode on YouTube and being QUITE unsettled by that "LOVE" character. I mean...I'd be angry like Oscar if "LOVE" was following me around and trying to kiss me too.
