Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
1) I'm not Drtooth, but I'm pretty sure it was Dahling von Dahling. Camille Bonora (Countess von Backward's performer) sort of retired from the Muppets, and hasn't worked with them for quite some time now.
2) One of the interesting things about this sketch is that there has been a bit of...
Bill Baretta and Brian Muehl have also contributed to the show (but in non-starring roles). During the second season Marty Robinson ("Telly") took over the role of The Cat in the Hat, and was also joined by Leslie Carrara (from "Muppets Tonight!") and Tim Lagasse (as a full-time performer).
Here's another description from another thread. It's about a character called the Great Blackini:
"He was a grey colored grouch who wore a tattered old magician's cap and a tattered old magician's suit, and had a broken magic wand."
As for Ramone, it was the same puppet, but different...
He wasn't exactly unemployed for long. He had a somewhat-starring role in "Bert and Ernie's Word Play".
P.S.: Could you describe the Great Blackini a bit more? (Mainly, what does he look like?)
I am 100% sure that the voiceover in those two segments had no puppet associated with it whatsoever. Whenever "he" talks to CM, CM looks directly at the camera, not at another character.
I don't think he was an astronaut; you could probably label him (and other worms from season 29, who worked at a WASA control station) under the "The WASA Control Station Worms". They were a bunch of different-colored worms in lab coats.
Thanks. I wanted to say "snow leopards", but the word "tigers" was thrown about so much that I got confused.
BTW, if you check out Muppet_DK's "Complete Henson Database" site, you can find a few pics from "Has Anybody Seen My Dog"? (There's pics of Marty, a fish, and a monkey.)
The green worm didn't do much; he was at a control panel, but that was it. He may have launched the rocket.
Also, episodes are repeating in my area as well. Oh, well; it could be a nice vacation away from the listing. :)
1) Not much; he kinda just wiggled.
2) How about the "Hooper's Store Food Delivery Woman"?
3) It was the Fat Blue AM spider (similar design to the one from EW), but had lidless female eyes, and pink nose, as well as 8 dark blue tap shoes.
4) I can't help you with it; the PBS station...
I got the MT shows a while ago, and here's some details about them:
--The Cindy Crawford episode is missing a minute. (The segment missing begins right before the "Frogeteer Club" sketch ends, and ends when Bobo begins his "60's retro montage fantasy".)
--My episodes (except for the...
There was the bit in the street story where Cookie asks Slimey to get him to the moon, and Slimey calls WASA. Who was it showed up with a small worm rocket for Cookie Monster? How should they be added to the list?--Two of them were the WASA astronauts; the other was a green worm.
The Cheese...
