A puppet show that insulted the Muppets

I remember on Family Guy, they made fun of Sesame Street characters a few times. One time, they were watching the Count on TV and Peter asked if there was ever an episode if the Count ever bit into someone's neck and sucked their blood. And Brian said, "No." And another time, Stewie was...

Questions about Jim Henson's Animal Show

Hi, The Count. :) It's kind of hard to watch all 65 episodes of the Animal Show in just a few days. So if it's okay, I'd like to give you the character descriptions a few posts at a time. Here's what I found out about the first 5 episodes I reviewed. Stinky the Skunk is a black and white...

    Favorite Quiet and Loud Skits

Oh yeah! I loved that "Fishy", line Ernie used. :) But sadly, in real life. Talking just normally while fishing would scare the fish away.

    I got the paper towels!

Thank you. :) And to think, this whole thread started because Lew Zeland brought paper towels with him. :)

Is this true about Steve Whitmire?

You know, a few weeks after Jim Henson's death. I too had a dream that I met Jim Henson and he showed me a film about how he does his work and it made me feel a little better after that. It's almost like Jim's angel can visit peoples' dreams and give them the courage and confidence to go on...

    Favorite Quiet and Loud Skits

I remember one when Bob was telling a story about a muppet mother who was totally sad. For she had two sons. One was named Loud because he always screamed when he talked. He'd shout. "HI MOM!" causing the mom to scream in shock. Her other son was named Quiet for he always whispered and the...

    The Animal Show

Yep, it was filmed in England. And I heard they used the original writing staff and crew from the Muppet Show to make this series. Also, just like how the Muppet Show lasted longer in England and some segments had to be cut in the states. The Animal Show was like that too. When it aired on...

    Muppet Show Season 1

Also in the first season, Kermit had the panel discussion segments where he, the guest star, and a few other Muppets sit down and discuss things of lasting importance. But always got out of hand. I wish they kept that part for the rest of the series. That was fun to watch.

Have a very Happy 58th birthday Dave Goelz

Happy Birthday Dave Goelz. :) Thank you for bringing life to my favorite Muppet, The Great Gonzo. May you have a wonderful birthday jamboree filled with cows playing cellos with bananas where their horns should be, ducks in buckets, and pigs drinking lemon tea.

    I miss Richard

Richard was a talented man. One of the most important cast of the Jim Henson family. I'm sorry that he didn't get a tribute show about him like Jim got. And I didn't even know that Richard had passed away until I saw in The Muppet Christmas Caroll. "In Loving Memory of Jim Henson and Richard...

    I got the paper towels!

I remember when my sister I were flipping channels, The Great Muppet Caper was on one channel and Titanic was on the other. We ended up tuning to the part where Leonardo was drawing that girl naked and we switched back to the Muppets. There, Fozzie went. "SHAME ON YOU!" to all the Muppets. We...

    The Animal Show

Another cool thing about The Animal Show is that around the beginning, they show animals films to classic songs from Fraggle Rock, Muppet Babies, and Muppet Movies. For example.... The Muppet Movie's "Moving Right Along" to a film about migrating animals. Fraggle Rock's "Tree of Life", to...

    Curly Bear

I don't think that Curly Bear growling was as scary as Beautiful's Day's bellow. Mainly because Curly was a cute adorable bear while Beautiful Day was big and scary.

    Favorite planning skits

Well, Ernie did put stuff like pencils, pens, crayons, markers, and a typewriter on his list so he could be planned to have something to write with the next time. And he wrote that list with chocolate pudding making it the most delicious list he wrote. Bert ended up saying. "He's improving...

    Remember these 2 cartoons?

Yeah, I always thought the Mouse in the House cartoon was funny. But that woman had a very high pitched screaming voice though. I remember there were a few box on a wheel cartoons, and some were pretty scary. One had a boy driving the box following one way signs, which soon led him to a cave...

    Favorite planning skits

My favorite skits about planning was when Maria was telling the story of a king who wanted a picnic and told his subjects to bring something. At first they all ended up bringing watermelon and on the next trip they all ended up bringing potato salad. And it showed buckets of potato salad...

    Jim Henson Hour Trade

Okay Steve, we got a deal. It'll probably take me a couple of weeks to get them all taped and sent to you since I get really busy with work and home and there are 12 episodes each an hour long. But eventually I'll try to get them to you soon. And as for trading, I don't know much about action...

    Jim Henson Hour Trade

Your welcome. Oh yeah, I forgot. There are a couple of flaws in my tapes. One of the Storyteller episodes and Jim's closing words gets interupted by a weather test pattern a couple of times. And the beginning of one of the Muppet Television episodes gets scratchy and unclear at first, but for...
