Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
The puppet was originally created as an old woman. She was the guitarist in the Geri and the Atrics band.
In Muppets Tonight's UK spots, he was Mr Pudman's verrrry old butler whose name was Carter. This was the character who appeared in MFS.
Didn't he also appear as Miss Piggy's butler...
This is something I've been wondering for a while. Is it "SUP-ergrover" or "SU-pergrover"? With the mouth closed or opened during the pause? I thought it was the first, but then I saw Elmo in Grouchland... it just didn't look right with the mouth open!!
I have to say I still don't know what to think of the Dinosaurs episode "When You Were A Tree". Earl switches bodies with a tree, and that "realistic" Earl face in that tree... *shivers* Good thing it was just a story. (heck, good thing it's just a puppet show!)
I really wonder what would happen if all the "quiet ones" on here would get together for a party. I think we'd really be a cool group.
Me myself, I never really go with the flow either. I have something against today's youth society and "going with the masses" and therefore I just do it on...
Jim's early work inspires me the most. The classic abstract jazz stuff, the artistic nonsense, the skep-dee-baps and ska-boo-scoop-ba-doos, like, ya know...
These are the Koozbanian creatures that appeared on TMS:
Male, Female, Babies (Florence Henderson, few other episodes)
Koozbanian Foob (evolves faster than most creatures)
The Four Fazoobs (musicians)
The Merdlidops
The Koozbanian Spoobol
THe Talking Hills (Elke Sommer)
The album you're talking about is The Muppet Show Album 2, with songs from the Muppet Show's second season (1977). Great album!! It can still be found on Ebay a lot.
The running guy who sang "Windmills Of Your Mind" didn't have a name - I named him "The Three Legged Creature" or something like that. Never appeared in any other productions except that skit and an episode of Vet's Hospital, in the same episode (Don Knotts).
The guy with the glasses is...
Can anybody give me a list of titles for the complete Fraggle Rock Animated Series? It used to be on henson.com, but I can't get on there anymore without updating my Flash and I don't feel like that right now.
The drugs episode was indeed a GREAT one! (A New Leaf).
And who can forget... "SMOO!" :D "We're saying Smoo, that is what we do, we're saying Smoo, and it's just for you..." I'll always remember exactly where I was when that guy said "Smoo" on TV! :D
- Boober!!! I so agree on Boober!!!
- Travelling Matt. He'd be like a reporter.
- Convincing John. Indeed, something like an agent or a coach or whatever. Just another energetic Jim Henson kinda guy.
Here's the lyrics! It's the version from the CD BTW, not the old one. I believe they changed some dialogue and added Elmo and Telly instead of two of Roosevelt Franklin's friends.

I love how in the first episodes, they are still considered "Anything People" who actually are featureless and can be anything they want. "Today I want to be a little girl. Can you give me some eyes and hair please?"
Those guys looked SCARY BTW. Anybody knows "I Am A Fine Musician" which...
I too think all that character homosexuality talk is useless. But in this case, I can give the answer.
Dr. Phil Van Neuter is not homosexual. He has a relationship with Mulch's sister (?) Composta Heap. As seen in the Muppets Tonight episode guest starring John Goodman.

LOL hey I have never taken a vacation from Muppet Fandom. I've always been around on AOL. I just never feel like posting too much on this MB - partly because you have to wait for three minutes after each little joke you wanna make on here, before you can make another one...
