Working with people who never worked with puppets and never will give a d^mn about working with puppets. For instance, camera people who seem to think people won't notice the puppeteer when his head, neck, shoulders AND arms are in view. UGH.
YAY! I have TWO Beakers!
My Invisible Beaker might NOT be the rare one, but my Vanishing Cream Beaker is... one of his socks ISN'T STRIPY!
OMG! Now I'm one of the mightiest Palisades collectors in the world!!! :D
In Snuffy and Big Bird's first scene (1971 season premiere), Snuffy just appeared behind Big Bird's back while Big Bird was looking for a way to water his flowers. Snuffy sprayed water out of his trunk.
Big Bird: "Whoa! Who are you?"
Snuffy: "Uhm... oh yes, I am a Snuffleupagus."
Big...
I LOVE THE JOGGY THE INCLORE SONG!!! :D
You might consider thinking of an Emmy the Spoovy song. Or a The Jackie song. Or a Byron The Tall Kentuckian song.
Joggy The Inclore (do de do!)
Ohhh you bet! In fact, I even dedicated a song to my job as Vice-Jackie!
*picks up guitar, strums, and sings*
When I was just a baby, Jackie used to roam
Emmy told me, Joggy boy, your work won't be at home
Go to Muppet Central, join the BBB
Steal glasses and cut people's hair, and...
I thought that Jerry Nelson-ish guy was Sherlock Hemlock, The World's Greatest Detective. His voice is slightly lower than Herbert's.
Herbert was an Anything Muppet who did lectures, often with Grover. I believe he was added in 1970 to take Kermit's place for some reason, but Henson put him...
What I like about Kermit is that he's just plain nice. He's kind and gentle and he takes time to talk and listen to you. And when he gets impatient or loses his temper, he does so without hurting ones feelings. The world would be a lot better if we'd have more Kermits around.
Either that or he wouldn't see the difference between THE Jackie and Vice-Jackie and accidentally thwack Jackie outta my hamm... uhm, HER hammock instead of me. Sheesh.
That would make a great Ricky Lake episode, BTW.
And this all started with an innocent little review...
*imagines Joggy and Jackie singing "Who Knows What You See In A Pal Like Me", a slightly rewritten version of the song Boober and Sidebottom sing*
LOL! Well guys, as much as I like it, I don't think of the movie as Inclore. Not even Spoovy. So that says a lot don'tcha think?
Jackie... the fact that I love KSY and that I'm not interested in wrestling and that I don't REALLY love Joe doesn't matter... *points to tyre tracks on belly* Deep inside I'm really meant to be a Vice-You. Honestly.
Well, that, and it pays well. :D
BBB!!! BBB!!! BBB!!!
Papa Roy sounds like such a wonderful man...! I wish him all the luck in the world for getting rid of that kidney stone! (and from all the way over the ocean, too!)
Kermit's Swamp Years: Joggy's Opinion
So I received the UK release of the Swamp Years VHS in the mail today and I just finished watching it. Here's my short review, ahem. *takes out paper*
I found this the most boring, disgusting, quickly made, cheap production ever made and it doesn't even...
I also love "Choose Right, Uptight, Move Down, Losing Blues" by Convincing John. Not sure what happened in that episode but in this song he seems to have taken over Wembley's personality. What I like about it is that it could be any random Jim Henson song...
This probably doesn't count at all, but I have seen the characters from Sesamstraat, the Dutch Sesame Street.
Tommie and Ieniemienie (hand puppets) performed at a tribute to one of the actors (the late Lex Goudsmit, who was a friend of relatives of ours). And I was at the taping of a New...
