XERUS’S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:
Today’s V/A focus is the actress, Mindy Sterling. Mindy is well known for playing Frau Farbissina in the Austin Powers movies. Mindy has also done a few cartoon voices like Ms. Endive from Chowder and Aunt Mellie from Higglytown Heroes.
THE AMAZING SCREW-ON HEAD...
I also loved Transformers back in the 80's. The cool cartoon series and collecting the toys as well. I spent my allowance on lots of those things. I could only afford the small and middle sized Transformers because they were cheaper and I had to ask for the big ones every Christmas and birthdays.
I remember enjoying Eureeka's Castle a lot. It reminded me a lot of Sesame Street with its puppets and familiar sounding voices and storylines that seem like Sesame Street episodes. I too liked Batly a lot along with Megellen who seemed a lot like Big Bird. It was truly a Nickelodeon treat. :)
XERUS’S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:
Today’s V/A focus is that famous comedian Phyllis Diller who turned 91 last week. Phyllis has been around for a while and has been known as one of the pioneers of female stand-up comedy, making people laugh at nightclubs, comedy stage shows, movies, and TV shows...
I know what you mean. When Mel Blanc was doing the Looney Tunes during the 80's, I noticed their voices had gotten a little deeper and softer. If you'll watch Daffy Duck's Quackbusters, you'll notice that Daffy's voice was a little softer and slower in the new animation, but when they showed...
I didn't know that about Garfield either. I also wonder why Dave wasn't chosen to voice Garfield in those new specials. Though Frank Welker did a pretty good job voicing Garfield.
I remember in a Looney Tunes episode where Sam had to control his temper or else he wouldn't get an inheritance. We got to hear Sam with a nice pleasant voice and then shifts into his regular angry voice.
Jim Cummings had voiced Sam in Tweety's High Flying Adventure.
Here's the voice cast for...
I haven't seen the cartoon where Frank voiced Yosemite yet. But I do remember seeing the cartoon where Frank voiced Foghorn. He co-stared with Pete Puma who was voiced by Stan Freberg. I was surprised when I read the credits and found out Frank Gorshin(The Riddler) was voicing Foghorn.
I guess the only good things I can think about this new Millennium are...
The movie, Cars.
And the magic of TiVo where I can record a show while watching another one and have the power to either pause or back up a show I'm watching in case I have to leave the room for a minute. It's a...
I remember one of the cartoons where Hal Smith voiced Elmer. It was when a mountain lion hid in Elmer's house and disguised himself as a mounted lion's head on the wall. I noticed that Elmer's voice was a little different when I watched that cartoon many times as a kid.
Your welcome. Yep, Joe's a talented voice guy in both cartoons and live action. :)
Yes, it does seem like Yosemite Sam is one of the hardest cartoon voices to do. Especially with all that wild yelling he does. And it seems like he gets passed around to different voice actors a lot. After Mel...
I too like Joe's Sylvester voice along with his Tweety voice. I first heard Joe voice Sylvester in a Tiny Toons episode and I thought he was great. And he does great work on the Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries as well as Tweety's High Flying Adventure. :)
And I also like Joe's Marvin the...
