Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
During the 90's, Cartoon Network gave all sorts of cartoonists a chance to create new original stuff. A bunch of 5 minute shorts called, "What A Cartoon." That brought us cool shows like Dexter's Laboratory, Cow & Chicken, Johnny Bravo, and the Powerpuff Girls. These shows came from the minds...
Oh yeah. Those bumpers were what classic Saturday Mornings were all about. :)
I especially loved the NBC Saturday Morning bumpers. I thought they were the best.

Yes, Jim does have a recognizable voice. And in the Teeny Little Superguy cartoons, Jim does all the voices. Except for the singing girls in the theme song.
I believe Dirk Nibblick from Square One TV is from Pantomine Pictures. They even used some of the same voice artists from Roger Ramjet for Dirk Nibblick and both cartoon series have the same fast paced funny writing in them.
Well, it was great seeing the Muppets again on TV. I do hope they can make a new show or series that will make the Muppets enjoyable for the new generation of fans.
XERUS’S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:
Today’s V/A focus is the late Jim Thurman who passed away in 2007. Jim was a producer, writer, and voice artist who did voices for lots of famous cartoon shorts, including cartoons from Sesame Street and the Electric Company. I’ll always remember Jim’s familiar...
The Snorks appeared on Family Guy one time and Michael Bell voiced Allstar like he did in the original cartoon.
Plus Jeff Bergman was also on Family Guy where he voiced Fred Flintstone, George Jetson, and I think Sylvester.
Also in one episode, Frank Welker, voiced Fred in a show called the...
Yes, it did. American Dad was another Seth MacFarlane show that first aired after the Superbowl. But it aired very late at night though since that's what time the Superbowl ended.
I remember reading in a MAD Magazine where it showed behind the scenes at Pixar Studios. One of the staff members told everyone to be on the lookout for Dreamworks spies posing as employees. For when Pixar came out with A Bug's Life, Dreamworks came out with Antz. And when Pixar came out with...
When I saw the very first episode of Family Guy after the Superbowl, I thought this is a really funny show. With it's fast paced timing and jokes on classic TV shows, cartoons, and pop culture.
No, this is a different Mike Henry.
And I think Mike does the funniest voices on Family Guy. I really love hearing all of his characters. Especially the Greased Up Deaf Guy.
"You're never gonna catch me! You're wasting your time! Forget about it! See you next year!"
Marvin's my favorite Looney Tunes character too. :) He has some of the most memorable lines.
"Oh, I'm going to blow up the Earth."
"Isn't that lovely?"
"You make me very angry. Very angry!"
XERUS’S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:
Today’s V/A focus is that popular prime time cartoon, Family Guy. Seth MacFarlane, who is the creator of this funny series, also provides voices for half the cast and lots of additional characters.
SETH MacFARLANE: Peter Griffin, Brian Griffin, Stewie Griffin...
Here's a scene where the Looney Tunes performed at Six Flags. It reminds me a lot of those Bugs Bunny live stage shows I enjoyed as a kid. :)

I agree. Rob Paulsen is my all time favorite voice artists. In fact, he was the very first voice artist focus I ever did.

I too loved the original Transformers series the best.
The new Transformers Animated is just okay. But it was great seeing my favorites like Starscream, Grimlock, Arcee, Wreck-Gar, and Blurr again. And some of their personalities stayed the same.
