I'm still around, I just haven't posted that much lately.

My sympathies to "Disney's Muppets" and his family. Very sad. I should really watch my weight. He made an impact in his very few months here. Disagreed with the screen name, but loved his avatar. :)

According to NBC's website, the 2002 telefilm "It's A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" will air on NBC Thursday from 2-4pm (all time zones), so check your listings. So for those who missed it or want to see it again, you'll get a chance...unless you're eating or traveling. :)

Well "Tinkerdee" was an unknown, the rest were pretty much known. And since they are part of Henson's "Family Showcase" catalogue, HIT owns the distribution rights to them for the next 5 years.

"Disney's Jim Henson's Muppets" is just tedious. As for Fraggle Muppets and Sesame Street Muppets, they hardly call them that anymore so I doubt it will be a big deal. There are Muppets: puppets created by The Jim Henson Company. And there are "The Muppets": the brand/property featuring Kermit...

OK, now all of a sudden I can see it. Nice look, hardly anything there anymore, but nice look. The main sucky part is that all of the audio and video clips are gone. But most of the good ones were deleted when Henson.com was redesigned two years ago anyway. Oh well...

Could someone explain what the new site looks like? My computer's slow and there are no graphics on the main page, only just well, nothing. I go to www.henson.com/index2.html and see the green background and the Kermit head of the previous site. Are there new sections, are Muppet/Bear/Sesame...

Exactly what I've said. Jim Henson [Company] added its name to "The Muppets" just as it did to "Fraggle Rock," "The Hoobs," and many of its other properties.

Well that's good to hear. Not that I watch any MGM movies, but it's good that the brand (and logo) will survive. I wish Warner Bros. did that with Hanna-Barbera.

Yeah. Too bad that, according to some reports, Sony is expected to shutter MGM's current production except maybe the "James Bond" franchise. But who knows.

You said it. With the Classic Media/Sesame Workshop bid (reported only a day before the Hensons bought back JHC), yeah there would have been the symbolism of ALL the Muppets sitting under one roof, but so what? Classic Media owns stuff for the sake of owning them, with little exploitation. Yeah...

I agree, I think Eric's Piggy is great. His Fozzie still needs a little work IMO, but I think Frank's characters are in good hands.
