    What was the Kermit Channel?

Basically in 1998, Henson and Hallmark Entertainment jointly launched The Kermit Channel and a lot of their programming aired on it. Odyssey, which both companies had also acquired stakes in, was touted as the sort of U.S. version of it. It went off the air in 2000 or 2001. Other than that...

    50 Years on Henson.com

Go to Henson.com, and there's a "50 Years" graphic and a small press release. It's not much, but the animation's cute.

    Meet The Parents actress dies

It is. I'm just curious why it took a month to actually report her death. That seems a little strange to me.

    2004: The Year in Review

Nice, very nice. It's not the "Comcast Public Broadcasting System," but other than that, good :) What a year, and hopefully this year will be a good follow-up.

The Disney Deal: One Year Later

Speaking of anniversaries, I would briefly like to mention that it was five years ago today that EM.TV bought The Jim Henson Company for $680 million. How time flies when you're having a corporate meltdown. :attitude:

The Disney Deal: One Year Later

February 17, 2004, was a day I was (sorta) waiting for for years. Disney bought the Muppets, as I had eagerly wanted them to do for years. But more shockingly, Henson sold the Muppets TO Disney. After the EM.TV sale, long auction, and eventual family buyback, this was the last thing I expected...

Who owns the rights to what?

    >>Phone: 818.549.2018 (The Muppet Holding Company Office) E-mails: debbie.mcellan@disney.com (The Muppet Press Center)<< Phone number, nice. :) And it's "McClellan," by the way.

Who owns the rights to what?

Great job, GelflingWaldo! Just one thing, why is Labyrinth under the Henson Family Showcase, and not the fantasy library?

    The Henson Productions Timeline

It's Bremen. And the other things were correct too...although MTI was released in '96, not '95.

Do you think Labyrinth 2 should be made?

I don't know about a Labyrinth sequel, I like the first one, but Linkin Park doing music for a Henson fantasy film ain't a bad idea. They stand out among the rap-rock bands, let me put it that way. "Crawling" is my favorite song, so you know. LP RULES! Edit: I just realized this...

    Review of the NEW Muppets.com

As for Robin on Muppers.com, if you go to the "Studio Lounge" page and look at the shelves on the wall you'll see Robin sitting there and smiling.

Muppet Christmas Carol on Disney Channel

It sure is. Though a correction (though it's irrelevant now), MCC came on Disney Channel Wed. at 8pm EST, and does come on ABC Family sometime tomorrow. And VMX (the NBC movie) came on The Hallmark Channel earlier today. So Muppet Christmas movies galore.

Disney sends Muppets to promo land

Steve Whitmire is still performing Kermit. I'm not sure if he himself is on Disney's payroll (I think others around here know more about puppeteer relations), but he and the others are still performing.

Disney sends Muppets to promo land

Disney sends Muppets to promo land By Marla Matzer Rose LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Kermit the Frog has been a film and TV star. He's been made larger than life as a popular Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon. They even adore him in England. But like so many stars pushing 50...

    The New Henson.com

Look. I can't stand Michael Moore either, but I do not understand what he or teenage sex films have to do with Disney buying the Muppets or the new Henson.com. Wait, they DON'T. The last thing we need this to be is another pathetic Internet political thread. Especially when everything you...
