FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

I get ya, but I don't look at it as thanking the problems of the world, but rather thanking Henson for taking some action against the problems.

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

Exactly! And one thing South Park does not do is say "that's just the way it is." It may not be everyone's style, but it does do good things (as far as any TV show can anyway).

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

We have a ton of TV shows that show how awful the world is. Point out a problem that needs pointing out and offer solutions or at least inspiration. If we didn't have racial tension and wars in the world, Fraggle Rock would not have been necessary.

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

No you don't always need it. But that doesn't mean it's never funny. Most of the time it isn't, in my opinion. But on South Park, the point is these are jaded, intelligent kids living in a corrupt world run by adults that are not very bright (pretty true to life in many cases!). It's shocking...

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

That's why I'm glad South Park did make that effort to say swearing too much was wrong, because it takes away from the impact.

    The RHLC!

Love the Munsters and Addams Family! They're actually pretty different. The Addams Family knew they were weird and proud of it. The Munsters were more like your typical family, and they just happened to be monsters. They didn't understand whythey got such a...em...negative reaction! Either way...

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

And for the record, South Park once did an episode where the kids try to convince the town that they're all cursing too much. Because if it's done too often, it looses its impact. I definitely admire them for that. ;)

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

Well just to clarify, I don't like cursing myself. I think in real life it's a sign that you have nothing to say. Like I said, South Park knows how and where to place them in a fictional context. ;)

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

Well of I won't say you have to watch or enjoy it of course. But I won't say you're not missing anything either. ;)

Oh cool, well how about a summary, like a pitch? You should keep the script under wraps till it's finished. ;)

    The Muppets Take Manhattan Finale

Actually I discussed this a couple months ago, here's an interesting clue in the mystery! http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showthread.php?t=38037 But your dream theory is really interesting too, how suddenly the theater changes and all. And I also love Muppets Take Manhattan the best; it...

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

Lol, you're not the first person to tell me! I'm also a member of the KISS Army! Well that's my point, I don't want to miss out on potentially good work just because it's exterior is a bit weird or edgy. Now sometimes, you do have to be cautious of course. But other times you should give...

Sesame Street: From a Toddler's Point of View

If that is true, then there shouldn't be such an attempt to hide the older material (which is being done on the show). ;)

Making the World A Little Better

The evils of stupidity and glorified sex existed long before Television (Heck, we're even warned against it in the Bible!). When Television today shows these things, they are tapping into what's already there. It's up to people to demand better of Television and themselves. Although, sadly...

FINALLY a Complete Series Set I DON'T Oppose!

South Park is definitely much deeper than that. And maybe the swearing isn't everybody's taste, but it's part of the humor. They use it in a very specific way so it's not just gratuitious. This is what worries me, looking down on and sometimes even censoring shows simply because they have an...

    What's Wrong with Sweatpants?

I've had those moments myself, I guess that's what's meant by Karma! Forgiveness is very important, but a little poetic justice can be nice sometimes. ;)

    Fellow Church People

No problem! And I agree, I think worship should be a pleasant experience. Being Catholic is important to me, the church stands up for a lot of issues other groups won't touch. But I don't agree with everything it says and I do wish more joy was involved. Of course it depends on the parish you...

    Fellow Church People

Actually Roman Catholics do believe he rose from the dead, absolutely. There aren't that many differences I think except the idea that the bread and wine become the body and blood, and the idea that some of the Bible (not all) is symbolic rather than literal. But we don't take the Bible any less...
