The MuppetCast - Show #71 - Monsters in the Kitchen

Oh dear, is the laptop done for? I spilled Soda once and it was all over!

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Agreed, it's more upsetting and frustrating than anything else. Plus to me it makes Sesame Street seem more, I don't know, fantasy. Even though Snuffy was real, having him be a big mysterious secret to me contradicted the educational and realistic purpose of the show.

You know I've wondered that too; I guess experimenting is the only way to know for sure!

    The RHLC!

So I tried downloading the Muppetcast instead, lol, and while it took a little longer, it finally worked. Very nice interview with Jane, she's sounds so cool and friendly, and does a great imitation of the Swedish Chef! And hey, you guys were right, he did get the gap closed! It would make...

The MuppetCast - Show #71 - Monsters in the Kitchen

Around 109 (when the photo of Richard and Kevin is being discussed) it keeps conking out on me every time. However, I did try downloading the whole thing and it worked then. ::shrugs:: Cool interview with Jane (loved her Swedish Chef imitation! Hehe) It would be cool if some of the photos...

State of the Muppets - An Opinion

Absolutely, it can really open up the mind. I helped with a presentation of Sesame Street once and we analyzed a clip from Don't Eat the Pictures. Seriously, you had to be there, lol. I wish I'd written more about the Muppets in school. But I suppose my Blog kinda makes up for it, hehe. ;)...

State of the Muppets - An Opinion

Lol, how true. And with Comm majors as well, where you get to write a 10 page paper on the significance of the Ninja Turtles! :)

State of the Muppets - An Opinion

Well I think there's a tendancy we all have as human beings to enjoy entertainment (book, movie or otherwise) and feel inspired, but not fully realize the messages are about how to live in your real life, not just enjoying a fantasy. It's like how we learn subjects in school but don't always see...

State of the Muppets - An Opinion

I think it's tempting to want them to be as popular as they were in their "heyday." And that would be great, but even the Beatles' "heyday" past. That doesn't mean they're forgotten, on the contrary! I don't mind if the Muppets become super popular again or not, as long as their work continues...

True, though maybe that could go along with knowing how to tell it, choosing the right person. ;)

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I can't believe I never mentioned this! There was one time when Big Bird wanted to spend time with Maria, but she was too busy asnswering phones and doing work. Big Bird is sad and ends up writing a story about a bird superhero (Blue Bird I think) who stops the villian (played by Maria) by...

    The RHLC!

Wow, and I was called the die hard Richard fan, hehe. Good job, Snowball! And glad you fit in other things in life too, that's important. ;) You know the 2005 anniversary of Richard's passing was the first time I'd seen Richard's cameo in GMC. I watched it with a friend, it was a nice night...

I know seriously? Anyway, it's so adorable. And funny how one of the Elves sounds sort of like a proto Scooter! ;) I think you also hear a familiar singing voice during the group song at the end over the credits! Aw that's so nice! My friend and I used to do that "No we can't take that...

Frank Oz: praise from a fan

Absolutley, they're young, not stupid, hehe. But society keeps trying to "baby" kids and protect them from being "confused" or "disapointed." Society will end up paying for it down the line.

    New Muppets Christmas Special

I kinda agree, Muppet Show guys are a little more rooted in reality (not by much but... ;)). Though of course "canon" is a word to be used loosely in Muppet land!
