My friend made a good point about this once about people who are brutal perfectionist performers. You have to feel a little bad for them because as hard as they can be on other people, imagine how hard they must be on themselves. ;)
And that's great; it takes a strong story to create a main character that's unlikeable in some ways, but at the same time we still root for her. Most movies are afraid to do that. It's not an easy thing to pull off.
I do hope it inspires some kids who are feeling misunderstood and left out...
Lol, it does sound like there was this sense in the group that everyone must suffer at some point! Sort of like the opposite of the upstaging rule. :insatiable:
I mean I think history should be seen as a friend that assists in our development. It's not something that should be held over our heads, but neither should it be forgotten. :)
Yeah I mean when you had to work 8 years before getting main characters, it is hard to see other new comers come in and start right away. Luckily they did eventually find some common ground, lol.
I also like the story's message, it sort of reminds of The Wizard of Oz. That life is difficult and often boring, but running away and trying to escape to a better world isn't the perfect solution. No matter where you go, there will be problems. :)
Lol, exactly. Personally, I'd like to teach my kids that the government isn't always going to solve your problems, no matter which party is in office, hehe.
I'll say as usual I think it's a shame St. Valentine's Day has been mutilated so much over the years. Even High School teachers and officials make you feel bad for not having a date. Plus I've seen way too many young couples who make other people feel bad by thoughtlessly flaunting their...
It is quite frustrating and disturbing how so many adults have the attitude that children need to be protected and only exposed to "happy bright" things. It's that kind of attitude that can lead to prejudice later in life of things that are outside the norm. Either that or the kid decides to...
Lol, it's like with me, my parents and the Beatles. They liked them in the '60s but weren't huge fans. Now I'm the huge fan and I got them interested again!
Well because it's not good to drink the milk straight from a cow, lol. They're probably be more concerned about showing that now. Though, I'm not sure it's a huge problem in daily life, lol.
With all the videos about how to talk to kids about deployment, I wonder if they would ever address the recession or lack of jobs. A lot of people are starting to be effected. Kids do have to see their parents getting stressed out and worrying about their future.
Again, I don't want to see...
I mean, I think Belle is fine for kids and all, I know I was inspired by her that girls could do more with their lives. But now that I'm older, lol, I notice other things.
I mean she tries to explain to the baker about her new book and he's too distracted by his job. She kinda gives his...
