Who knew getting a job would be this hard???

I agree with that, throwing money at a flawed system won't improve anything.

Who knew getting a job would be this hard???

You're right it is easy to say that, it's much harder to do it, especially with constant rejection. Though, what else can you do besides keep going? ;)

Congress to get bigger spending boost than domestic programs

I agree, and I think that should be told to both the Republicans and the Democrats. We've traded off with them again and again over the years and no matter which one is in power, we keep settling for and getting the same old thing. ;)

Who knew getting a job would be this hard???

Hehe, on the subject of luck and job hunting, here is my Blog entry on the topic (insert shamless plug, hehe): http://herald7.wordpress.com/2009/01/21/lost-treasure-3-marx-brothers-minnies-boys/ The economy is the major reason job hunting is so hard right now, it's hard for EVERYONE. You can...

Congress to get bigger spending boost than domestic programs

Yeah I won't be one of those people who hopes he fails to save the economy. That's just shooting yourself in the foot. If he succeeds that's wonderful. I still won't agree with him on many things and that won't change. But this situation needs to be fixed.

    The RHLC!

And when you think about it, the most basic puppetry involves the movement and facial expressions, the voices are just the icing on the cake (which Frank Oz has pointed out many times). I could be wrong because we've never really known any other way, but I think any attempt to give Beaker a...

    Season 40 Guest Stars

Yeah I don't think it would be a problem (nor should it be hehe), it's a nice, innocent sentiment. Plus the show has tried to be inclusive in the past because that does reflect its audience.

Congress to get bigger spending boost than domestic programs

Lol, rully. I don't blame Obama for anything yet, he hasn't had any time to do much. And it's a lot to have to shoulder. So I'm giving him a chance. But I won't feel sorry for him, not while he's comfortably at the White House while so many Americans are out of work and unable to see doctors. I...

    The RHLC!

Wow, so many people, hehe. I really liked this part of TP's interview with Michael Davis: Seriously, people so often write off silent characters like Sully, or characters who don't speak "normally" like Beaker. They're treated like static, impossible to understand, unless you take the time to...

Congress to get bigger spending boost than domestic programs

Previous guy, current guy, I don't feel bad for either of them (especially with the money they have). Just get the job done, hehe.

Pennsylvania PBS funding cut -- help!

That's true, something big would need to get audiences attention. Sesame Street would really need to make itself known in some kind of TV event, and not just an Elmo-fest, something that would be more far reaching.

Sweetums: Who's gonna do what to me, when, hmm? ! Hehe, seriously though, I do think the Jim Lewis thread is a prime contender. :)

    The RHLC!

I find I'm enjoying early Easters more lately because I'm needing reminders of Spring more and more, lol. I'm not a corn beef and cabbage person, more of a St. Joseph's Day cake fan, hehe. Though my Grandma makes corn beef and cabbage very well (she's an Italian American who gave her Church...

Anyone here have Elmo kind of grow on you?

Yeah it is true. Though, it's not a lesson I'd want my children to have to learn in life, heh.

Pre-Order Follow that Bird Anniversary DVD

I'll see what everyone else says about the special features before purchasing. If I do, I'll probably donate my original copy to the library. Kids today deserve (and rarely get) something decent. :)

Anyone here have Elmo kind of grow on you?

Well I've come to enjoy more of his earlier sketches than I thought I would, like from the late 80s-early 90s, when he was kind of the only young monster on the block. I think he's quite funny and sweet there. I think that element is what's missing from the show now. I'd still show my kids...
