    Telly appreciation thread

I understand why they decided he couldn't be a character obsessed with Television, as he was originally. It's not the best thing to kids to relate to, lol. But somehow being obsessed with triangles seems a little too safe to me, like every parent's dream, hehe. But that's just me, each to his...

    Telly appreciation thread

Well put, that's the kind of multi-layering that should be in more kids shows. Telly seems to have always been the default best friend; from what I read he also filled that role with Aristotle, the blind monster character.

    Telly appreciation thread

I think it's certainly much for helpful to show that on a kids program, rather than always showing a bunch of friends who basically always get along. I could never identify with that, heh. ;)

    Telly appreciation thread

Exactly, even as a kid I thought it was rather intriguing how Oscar was so nasty to Telly, yet Telly remained so loyal, lol. Says a lot more about human nature than your typical kids show.

    Telly appreciation thread

My first memory of Telly was him getting all frustrated because he was trying (and failing) to teach kids addition in Spanish. Maria comes over and sings about the numbers 1-10 in Spanish (which I can still repeat to this day! ;) ) I always loved his really bizarre slightly twisted...

    Fraggle Rock Complete Series Question

That's what I did, I donated the old season sets and kept the booklets, hehe. I think the complete set is worth it content wise. But ONLY if you can afford it right now. If not, with the economy and all, it's better to wait in my opinion. None of my disks were out of the case but it looks...

Your Thoughts: Horton Hears a Who

I haven't seen the new version, I should check it out so I can properly judge. I almost wish they had remade The Lorax, since its message is still so relevant nowadays. Then again, it probably wouldn't be nearly as good as the original cartoon version, hehe.

    REJECTED SST Old School Disclaimers

To avoid bad dreams, refrain from watching Jazzy Spies #2 in the middle of the night... (*Note: This is from personal experience. That whole "Two....TWO...twooooooo....oooooo" thing was quite frightening in the dark lol)

    The RHLC!

Hehe exactly, if I had a dime for every bad mood, I'd be living in a nice little bungalow by the beach with a steward bringing me samples from my lifetime supply of caramel popcorn. ;) As it is, I live in a standard suburban house, the beach is hours away and I'm all out of caramel popcorn. No...

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Exactly, that's my feeling too. These remake of retro TV shows have spotty track records. Mainly because the stories have been rather incoherent (even in the 21st century, a well written story still matters hehe) and the characters didn't ring true to the original show. Even though the Brady...

    The RHLC!

Aw sorry, I was just in a bad mood over something else that day. And anyway we weren't really arguing, we play like that sometimes, hehe. The dream was still cool. ;) Yeah in the way of replies and view counts this thread has beaten the odds numerous times, hehe.

    comedy duo billing

Well it could be because the straight man provides the base and foundation for the duo. He's there to create a normal situation that the comic proceeds to wreak havoc in.

Why wasn't MFS directed by a Henson director?

Now that I'd pay to see! Or at least an old Muppet movie with them doing the commentary. : D

    Sesame Street Anounces Layoffs

I do think children of military parents needed some kind of comfort, they shouldn't be ignored. But yeah, in this particular war, I would trend very carefully. In my opinion, excellently put! ;)

"The Doozers" preschool series under development

Honestly, the face looks off to me. And I do think CGI is being used too much when it's not always reliable and when other technologies would still work fine. But I'd have to see it in motion.
