Theories why Bear came to an end

I was having a conversation with someone about this, who didn't see why I had issues with modern Sesame Street. I tried to explain that Barney was responsible for Sesame Street changing its format and dumbing itself down. She said Barney was over now though and Sesame Street was still going...

    AMAZING(! !) Muppet Cupcakes

Wow, those are amazing! Might have to travel to the Suffolk region someday, hehe. I adore the Animal cupcake btw, and the Gonzo one, so adorable, lol. :halo: :concern:

    Uh Oh...What's Disney Thinking?

Disney has always been very creative and pioneering. But it's also always been quite cut throat. It's not the first time this has happened. But it's ridiculous. There's no money to be saved by firing people in those kinds of jobs. And they're losing a lot of charm for the theme park.

The Bible and Love and Christians

We'll have to respectfully disagree here. Not every Christian agrees with everything Martin Luther had to say, particularly when it comes to faith vs. works. It's not that Catholics think God's love is conditional on our works. It's just that God gave us his teachings for a reason, so we would...

Mr. Peabody and Sherman, The Movie

This idea slightly terrifies me because the original is such a classic. And I doubt they'd be willing to make it as disturbing and hard hitting today. And sorry to anyone who liked it, but The Cat in the Hat is one of two films that I have walked out on in my life. The other being Beowulf.

Yeah but on the other hand that's what PSAs are for, to make a big impression. ;)

    Your Muppet mistakes

I thought Gladys from Sesame Street was a male character, lol. Yes I know she was a cow, but she did sound like a guy. ;) In Great Muppet Caper, I thought Piggy really was a highly successful model and not just faking it. What can I say, I was a kid and I believed her!

    The RHLC!

I remember the three Gorg performers being interviewed in the Fraggle Rock bonus features, how they went in for the audition one after the other and finally Richard said to the third one, "Are you with them? Get out of here!" Lol, they must have thought they were threw at that point but of...

Mr. Peabody and Sherman, The Movie

The writing of this film would have to be immensely superior to that Rocky and Bullwinkle movie to be any good. I hate to even use their names in relation to that film. I'm not even going to put the title in italics!

The Bible and Love and Christians

Agreed, something we need more of these days. :) The way I interpret "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me" is that Jesus is saying whoever follows his teachings on loving your neighbor and enemy as yourself etc, will have eternal life. So that if...

    Cookie Monster's Favorite Artist's 172 Birthday!

I happened to notice today that it's artist Paul Cezanne's 172 birthday. Why do we care about this? Well because fans of the Sesame Street special Don't Eat the Pictures (aka the one where they visit The Metropolitan Museum of Art), might recall the scene where Cookie Monster and Bob are...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I don't remember seeing them as a kid, but I can see now where they'd be creepy. But I actually think they'd make good PSAs even outside of Sesame Street! Lol.

    Show of hands, please.

::raising hand:: Right here! ; D It's a travesty that quality children's television is kept hidden for the crime of being "too old."

The Bible and Love and Christians

Well it's just that it would seem just as logical for human beings to adopt the ideal of "be out for yourself." We agree that it's one excuse. I just that I think religion tends to get a larger share of the blame and other excuses none of the blame at all. Not talking about you, just saying...
