    Least likeable Sesame character?

You're definitely right, the creator is left with the blame. And it's the same with Sesame Street (to keep the original topic going, hehe). Oh wow, lol, I hadn't realized they'd done that. That is rather bizarre! I'm sure it was partially because I was young, but I never understood that...

    Least likeable Sesame character?

And yet reinventing didn't end up working in their favor. The show didn't last too long and people outside the hardcore fans barely know about it. Franchises are always defending reinvention, but in reality it rarely helps.

    Muppet Voice Comparisons

To be fair, I'm not sure anyone could completely match Richard's enthusiasm! Lol ;) :flirt:

    The Chipmunks

Technically yes, and it's more than most of us will ever hope to see, lol. But I guess at the same time, I think the idea is that you have to assert yourself otherwise the big companies will walk all over you. I'd have to know more of the details. There may have been some dispute between the...

    Muppet Voice Comparisons

I was really stunned by Rickey Boyd's performance, he sounded closest to Richard to me.

    The Chipmunks

I know America is kind of "sue-happy" right now, but I can understand their reasons in the cases you mentioned. It happens far too often that a writer pens a draft for a film and then gets cheated out of the credit. And suing (or threatening to) is often the only way to ensure you get your due...

    Bizarre Sesame Street Painting

LOL, I can just picture that. Though as a kid I probably would have been terrified if I saw that on the show, lol. :(

    Least likeable Sesame character?

Off topic but even when I saw the older characters on Muppets Tonight, I was still turned off. The tone was just off for me. So it's not always about fear of something being new. Sometimes it just doesn't work for you. :)

The Jim Henson Company Puppets to perform at the 2011 Grammys

Well see that's the thing. You're describing curses as these innocent words that are presecuted for no good reason. There is a reason, cursing does carry a connotation of hostility and frankly low class. And again, I'm not completely against using them, I watch South Park all the time. But...

The Jim Henson Company Puppets to perform at the 2011 Grammys

But again, at least that had some creativity behind it. Yeah but they're certainly promoting it by using it. Bottom line for me, using a song with a few curse words hardly qualifies as "Alternative," adult, or creative. It's pure shock value.

The Jim Henson Company Puppets to perform at the 2011 Grammys

I'll say that both are offensive. ;) Like I said I agree that some people overreact. But that doesn't mean there's nothing to react to in the first place. ;)

The Jim Henson Company Puppets to perform at the 2011 Grammys

I do want to say that doing what's technically a cursing song in a :: wink wink :: sort of fashion does not automatically make their performance more adult. I know the performance wasn't for kids, but frankly I wouldn't have wanted to see it either. Sorry but if I want to see puppets doing...

    Least likeable Sesame character?

I just feel like some of the newer characters are from a completely different TV show. And then made Sesame Street more like the show they came from, and not always in a good way. ;)

Your Thoughts: "Pioneers of Television" with Jim Henson

I watched Romper Room a lot but only have a few scattered memories. I did get to go to a live show once. I literally remember walking into the theater with my parents and that's it! But I'm told I had fun, lol.
