    The New Movie: The Muppets

Well I'll grant that perhaps fans should realize that an attempt to do a new film for any franchise, so many years later, is hit and miss at best. It's nice to imagine the perfect film comeback, but it's a lot more difficult than it sounds. ;)

    Documentary on Filmation Founder

Definitely, it sort of makes us fans feel vindicated to see how much the people behind the scenes enjoyed it as well, lol. Oh and I should have mentioned, the documentary is on the Thundercats Season 1, Vol. 2 set. Just to set that straight because it's a little confusing, lol.

Theories why Bear came to an end

I'm torn on this. Obviously I miss the media I grew up with and enjoy the nostalgic feelings they bring me. But on the other hand I've formed my own pleasant memories with today's technology as well and I imagine today's kids will too.

    Muppet Voice Comparisons

Actually I believe Richard Hunt also performed and voiced Janice when the Muppets performed on The Cher Show in 1975. It sounded completely different than the voice he came up with later! But good video anyway!

Which performer should get a documentary next?

Exactly, I think such a documentary would be fascinating. Like I say, neither as a white wash nor as a tabloid, just balanced. :)

Title this thread for me again

Yeah I know, but to be fair, most of time people like that aren't trying to be insulting. They're just so busy hating themselves and being critical of themselves they don't think about other people. Amen to that! I know, the media has truly lost its mind in this regard and don't even care...

Showing the humans before introducing them

Yeah there's a lot of good storytelling going on in that moment, which probably did go by too fast, but once you notice it, it's great. :)

    Documentary on Filmation Founder

No problem, hope you enjoy! Yeah there's one segment on the characters and another segment on "The Morals of He-Man." It was so amazing to see all the people who had worked on the show and clearly how much affection they had for it. That's what documentaries are all about! ;) And again, so...

    Muppet Movies on Wikipedia

Actually I have seen cases like that. That's why I take Wikipedia with a grain of salt, to say the least. ;)

Which performer should get a documentary next?

I heard about the book project for Richard Hunt, definitely sounds interesting! I personally don't mind when screen documentaries address darker issues, as long as it's balanced. Neither a white wash, nor tabloid, somewhere in between, since that's where we all are as people. ;)

The dark day of Valentines Day is upon us...

Exactly, being in a relationship doesn't mean you've won the big prize and everything will be rosy forever. Life still goes on.

    Documentary on Filmation Founder

Oh yeah I would definitely recommend the DVD; I can't believe the effort they put in as far as the documentaries in the Special Features section. :)

Showing the humans before introducing them

Well the thing is I imagine a big time guy like Crawford would be having his secretary screen projects first before he sees them, so his time is not wasted, lol.

Great idea, I enjoyed hearing Lou Scheimer's thoughts on He-Man on the He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special DVD. :)

Showing the humans before introducing them

Yeah definitely check it out, it's a great little, quick moment, because you see Ronnie's intrigue with the Muppets even then, lol.

Showing the humans before introducing them

You know you're right, I never thought about it, but they did utilize that plot device often in order to establish the human characters' personalities, even in a small way.

    Are records making a comeback?

And of course, as so often with technology, being bigger did not seem to equal better. The laserdisc I first saw was for Star Wars and it seemed like more chapters would be able to fit on your typical puny DVD than on this gigantic Laserdisc!

    Are records making a comeback?

Lol, well that's accurate! My family never had laserdiscs and I never knew anyone who did, even when they were popular. Everyone had VCRs and VHSs. In fact the first time I actually SAW a laserdisc was in college years later, lol. And yeah that was basically my reaction as well, a giant DVD, lol.
