    The things some "fans" say...

Why? I'm willing to listen. :concern: (I used Gonzo because I was reminded of his conversation with Paul Simon, lol).

The Bible and Love and Christians

LOL, love it. I stand corrected! :halo: Oh yeah I was wondering if someone would mention that. Congrats to all concerned! :)

Well I'm not saying you have to agree or anything. But look at it from their perspective. When the Marx Brothers retired, should they have just replaced them with new comedians, but kept the same characters?

    The things some "fans" say...

But if some fans honestly prefer Jim's Kermit, that shouldn't mean they're not being a real fan. ;)

Lol, I'm secure that Obama was born here. I'm just not sure he really appreciates what makes America special.

I think they do realize that. They just prefer Jim. And perhaps they prefer the time when the Muppet projects were consistently successful.

The End Of What We Grew Up With As Kids

About that Baby dinosaur movie from the '80s, here's an interesting perspective on the non-CGI effects at the time (Starlog Magazine, 1985). Wow, I remember when animatronics were the big thing, lol:

I wasn't born in the '50s, but I still am more used to Jim as Kermit than anyone else. ;)

Well voice actors certainly contribute to giving their characters their personalities. But I know what you mean, Jim Henson did a lot more than just voice the character.

    The things some "fans" say...

They're not saying the characters shouldn't live forever. They're just not sure the post-Jim projects are really allowing the character to live, when they've been so disapointing. Whereas The Jim-era projects allow future generations to see the Muppets at their best. That IS living forever. :)

There's just no party that I would breath easy with, were they elected. So I guess I can't do the greater evil thing either, lol.

The End Of What We Grew Up With As Kids

I can understand why that's prefered of course, hehe, but ultimately it's the quality of the actors and the writing that can often make up for shoddy animation, lol.

The End Of What We Grew Up With As Kids

Yeah but for me Raph in the first movie was really like a tormented teenage boy, with layers and depth and humor. Raph in the newer cartoon and in TMNT just felt like a generic "Grrr I'm angry." Just my $0.02. ;)

    RIP Peter Falk

My family used to love watching Columbo, great actor! And his cameo in GMC was brilliant, lol.

The End Of What We Grew Up With As Kids

Right I mean, one would think the smart thing to do would be to channel the movies that were actually successful. But silly me! :insatiable: I'm in the middle I guess. Parts of Secret of the OOze were definitely pretty embarrassing, lol. It was your typical let down but harmless sequel. TMNT...

I'm sorry but I don't want to rationalize an evil as being "lesser." That's exactly what evil counts on.

What do you call a party that's basically been in bed with Saudi Arabia for years? And what do you call a party that's willing to ignore violations of human rights in the name of "tolerance?" I call them the Republicans and the Democrats. Or by their nicknames, evil and evil. ;) I'm boycotting...
