Still, whatever happend to just separating the character from the actor? Why does it have to be an issue for the show at all?
Yes I know I just said I didn't want to watch Charlie Sheen in a show, but he's guilty of repeated violence. And continuing to employ him was just enabling his self...
Well it makes sense, 1979 is when their best movie came out. ;)
For me it's not important what they're wearing, but whether they're funny, period. And in my experience people like nostalgia; they don't see it as a bad or pathetic thing.
I think down the line, it is possible. But also easier...
It was the same for the early European immigrants who formed gangs or joined organized crime. They saw no other options because of poverty. Things improved for them because their children eventually gained more opportunities for education and employment over the years and many were able to...
I agree that is pretty stupid, lol. I hope those people are proud of themselves when the planet is in ruins.
There are some areas where people do need to just mind their own business. If some men want to do the whole "punch each other" thing, that's fine. If they're more into the, as you say...
Bit of a broad statement. I don't hate anyone just because they belong to a particular group. But I will say this can apply to the bullying issue. I've sometimes found that being bullied does not necessarily breed empathy for others. When people are bullied, they sometimes react by turning...
No it's pretty much true, lol. I'm saying this as a life long Trekkie. ;)
Well for the original three Muppet films, yeah actually I do prefer the odds (though GMC does have its moments too). But I'm not a big fan of the rest of the films, even or odd. So ::shrugs:: You're guess is as good as...
I think that's the truest thing anyone can say at this point. :)
I think it comes down to this: Just because the US is wrong on some issues, doesn't mean the rest of the world is right. ;)
I mean I really admire the work of Communist playwright Bertolt Brecht and the way he discussed the...
Ridiculing someone for being Christian is also a form of bigotry. Are Christians just supposed to put up with it because, "Hey, it's better than being ridiculed for a different reason!"? Gee thanks! Heh...
Again, what I'm talking about here is mutual respect. Let me explain it this way. You...
Just for the record, I was never taught that. ;)
I do want to say, we're always talking about how it's unfair for moderate Muslims to be lumped together with the fanatics. And I agree, it is unfair. But are we saying that in the case of moderate Christians, it's simply they're own fault if...
I can see where it looks that way from your perspective. But you have to see it from their perspective as well. If you want them to support you, you have to make it clear that you will respect the things that are important to them as well.
I've found that a lot of things start to make more...
Thanks! Well it's not a big part of the show or anything, just a slight annoyance when Scooter keeps wanting to do his song and can't, but they still have time for a Robin song, lol.
Perhaps they feel like even if they do speak out, they'll still be denounced for being ignorant and backward for being religious anyway. You (not you personally, just in general) can ask people to speak out, but if they feel a hostile vibe, they're less likely to do so. It's the old you get more...
I was never really scared of the Gorgs; they were more funny than scary really. But I remember being really disturbed by the Genie episode, particularly where he ends up controlling all the Fraggles. That bothered me for days afterward, lol.
Richard Hunt also plays the voice of the off screen land lord who yells at Gonzo, lol.
Btw I also wrote a Blog entry on the Children's Songs & Stories VHS awhile back, hehe: http://herald7.wordpress.com/2007/06/11/5/
