The "Let's Cheer Up" Thread. <3

Thank you. :) Yeah I take these things way too seriously and my blood pressure goes up I think, lol. What's funny is, as soon as I stopped debating, the rude people kept trying to get me to come back. I think some people are very lonely... Oh yeah I get really REALLY bad headaches too. It's...

The "Let's Cheer Up" Thread. <3

Aw just remember, nothing lasts forever, including down times. :) I spent way too much time this week debating with very rude people (not here) and I'm drained, lol.

The Bible and Love and Christians

Normally I'd contribute to the conversation, but I've been debating with people on politics a lot this week (not here) and it's just too draining, lol. It's amazing how much hate there is in people. (Again, not here. Sorry I'm in a bad mood, lol).

But they do have other problems that polarize. ;) And as for the economy, that depends on where you go!

I'm still not sure she'd win. I've been hearing some people who otherwise support Michelle say that though she's a good speechmaker, she lacks experience. Still, that didn't exactly stop us in the last election. ;)

    Deja vu all over again

Ugh, that statement was horrible. It's annoying how hostile people are to single parents. There's no one formula that will guarantee the best family. It's the individual people that make the difference. That statement is also highly insensitive when you think of how slaves' families were often...

People in general are just very good at rationalization. Religious use texts to justify violence. The Communists used ideology to do the same.

Oh yeah I know, it was embarrassing that those rumors lasted so long. Which I think just proves how few politicans truly are competent enough to lead. LOL, yeah seriously let's not forget, no matter what they'd still be politicans. ;) True, which has its good points and bad points...

Though we still haven't had a Jewish President. And the one time we had a Catholic President, he had to prove he wouldn't be "too" Catholic. Oh yeah, we're a tolerant country...

    Deja vu all over again

Of course it was. I just think Obama could have quashed the Palin stuff quicker, IMO, had he chosen a female VP of his own. It makes a heck of a lot morse sense for the progressive party to have a female VP candidate after all. Again I ask what is stopping us?

    Deja vu all over again

I wasn't impressed by Palin but I was also very disapointed that Obama didn't have a female VP. So many other countries in this world have already have female leaders. What is stopping us? Both parties always end up seeming like good ol' boys clubs.

Anyone else think the internet destroyed the element of surprise?

Yup, right up there with "I am evil Homer! I am evil Homer!" Lol Back to the topic, you know I remember an oft repeated joke when Titanic came out, "Guess what happens? It sinks!" Lol

Lol, no problem. You never know, right? And it's one of my favorite Homer moments for some reason, lol.

    The things some "fans" say...

Same here! My Mom used to read me Arthur's Eyes long before there was a show. I actually even kind of like Arthur better in book form, hehe.
