There's a lot of ignorance and a lot of half baked theories floating around.
Even when there are scentific studies on the topic, the results are uncertain. There was a scientific study a few years ago that claimed that the more older brothers a male had, the more likely he was genetically to be...
Will also mention Raymond Burr, who played Perry Mason. To this day, many fans are astounded to find out he was gay; he really didn't fit any conventional stereotypes.
They're not "acting gay." They're acting like themselves. There are plenty of "effeminate" straight men and "tough" straight women. Mannerisms isn't a reliable way to tell a person's orientation.
Then maybe it isn't that people are uneducated. Maybe they have other reasons for choosing the side they do. Perhaps the Democrats don't come across like they're speaking for them.
If I'm critical of the Democrats, it's only because they do have so much potential but don't seem to have a clue...
Yeah but it's a question of execution. You have a whoopie cushion and the noise, and it's funny and there's no need to say anything else. That's the kind of comedy the Muppets always did very well and that's what should have been done there.
That's how it's always been when TV begins to integrate a particular group. They start out as caricatures and jokes. Then over time various pioneering individuals make attempts to portray them in more serious ways and if successful, it eventually catches on.
Oh well as you say drag jokes are a...
I'm not that familiar with his work honestly. I do agree that just because he does one kind of genre doesn't mean he can't do others. But obviously I won't really know until I see the final product.
I am very concerned about the state of comedy. It's like we're all too polite to point out that most of the people around now are simply not that funny. Or maybe they could be, but they're going along with the trends instead of being individuals.
Well the bottom line should be good actors, whether they are stars or unknowns. Just whether they can do the job.
It's just that it seems like the landscape is so small lately; you just keep seeing the same big stars over and over.
No I do agree, they seem even more afraid to use unknowns nowadays, which is a shame. And strange frankly. So many classic movies were cast with unknowns. Why doesn't it make sense to try repeating that?
Well stars were used to make the movies even in the old days. Charlton Heston was brought into Planet of the Apes to give the film some star power, because they rightly feared the film wouldn't be taken seriously otherwise.
Wow....that was unexpected! Lol
Well em, I guess you'd call that a "tribute?" I'd have to see the whole movie to fully judge it.
But I agree, the actors are good but the writing I'm not too sure about yet, lol.
