The original Pooh cartoons were definitely masterpieces. The "New Adventures" show, wellllll, it was OK. I did watch it a lot but it was more like your standard kiddie show than the originals had been.
I used to watch Pinwheel all the time; though even as a kid I could tell it was basically a poor man's Sesame Street. It even had very similar puppet characters, lol.
And like others have said, Today's Special. And it's actually even better when I watch it today. Love the dark, moody musical...
Part of me is really surprised they're trying Captain America again, I mean after more than one attempt that really didn't fare well in the past to say the least! I mean don't get me wrong, he's not a bag super hero. I just honestly think it's the outfit, it just doesn't translate well to real...
I do think had they stuck with just the cartoon world, it could have been funnier. I'm frankly sick of these remakes using that "going into the real world" scenario. It creates an imbalance in the storytelling. And the "real world" seems more fake and over the top than the cartoon one!
Most cartoons are "boy's clubs" frankly. Girls like them anyway.
I think I laughed once, maybe twice in this whole movie. The writing overall just wasn't that funny for me even without the Mary Sue. But I could watch the original cartoon all day long!

The film industry is going through a rut, just as it did in the 1950s. In both cases, a new technology was sucking up all the attention (first Television and now the Internet). And as a result, Hollywood films started relying more on gimicry and less on quality. In the 1950s it was 3D, color...
Yes, I do get what your critique was. Just wanted to make sure it was clear what group that family is representing. ;)
I mean they seem like a nice family, nice people. I don't agree with their views on women's roles in the world. And I think the wife is needlessly risking her life by having...
Well shooting is a legitimate sport that doesn't automatically equal violence. I don't mind that, as long as the students in such a club were deemed to be mature enough to be there, heh.
I suppose he was referring to how he and his followers were willing to end their own lives in order to get their "reward" in the after life. And I think that's probably the most tragic thing about these terrorists. They're so brainwashed that they're willing to destroy their own lives as well as...
Well the one difference is that the segregationists were acting out of ignorance and fear. The people villifying Sesame Street and PBS nowadays are acting out of greed. ;)
