Sad Sad News for a Friend of Ours....

I think this is the third prominent member of MC in the last few years who has passed. Sadly before it was of very young people. I actually thought this person was a grandmom, not a granddad, but I'm bad with guessing these things. I did not know how old they were, but nonetheless it is...

My Review Of MirrorMask: An astonishing experience

I was saddened to see the places its playing are few and far between. Corprse Bride gets a wide release but this doesnt? pooey! Hopefully it has a quick dvd release. I'd say take your kid, tho even tho its PG, I think it'd be a bit too cryptic, macabre and unnerving for little ones.

Head of MHC fired by new Disney CEO!!

Only one question: How will this affect the relaunch and future of the Mupept brand? PLEASE let them never incorporate the Muppets into Disneyana canon.

My Review Of MirrorMask: An astonishing experience

Got to see MirrorMask in Berkeley last night, and the year and a half wait was well worth it. It had been 6 years since I last saw a Jim Henson film in theatres, so this was quite a treat. MirrorMask is without a doubt a visionary and texturally evocative movie experience. It was nice seeing...

Kermit's Christmas Capers coming this December

I agree, its a shame...but for the survival of the franchises maybe it was good. I mean you really think we'd get a Fraggle film if JHC was handling all the franchises? Im hoping they will get representitives(muppet delegates?) from all the Muppet franchises other thanthe Muppets for Kermit's...

    Celebrating Jerry Juhl

There can be no overstating that a massive creative fuel behind th emagic and appeal of the Muppets over the many decades was because of Juhl, blessed with the the ability to transcend through the pen. Over the last half a century Juhl was able to show countless millions on a consistant level...

    Fraggle figures! (we need 'em)

Trust me, if Sesame Street was possible, there's always a possibility of FR figures in 2007.

I'm still needing therapy from Floyd Pepper's revelations at Muppetfest. Hey, ya think Fraggles just ,agically grow on trees? :) Hey, I hear you dude; I hope by 2007 I have a girlfriend as well! (and I will be 29!)

    "Muppet Rockumentary" in the works

Wow, as a fan of Christopher Guest(Spinal Tap/Mighty Wind/Waiting For Guffman/BEst in Show) type mockymentaires, I can see this as being awesome. So what, 3 Jim Henson films in 2007 then?(FR, DC2, this thing)

Jim Henson Co. Heading into Anime Industry

anime and the Jim Henson company...does it get any more glorious? Who woulda thunk both Dark Crystal and Fraggle Rock would ever get a major relaunch? Oh, and it's hard to respect the idea that all anime is crap. Yeah, a lot of it is...but then there is Spirited Away, Akira, Howl's Moving...

    Fraggle Rock film in development

A slightly edgier all cgi film. The idea of a gritty cgi TMNT film first sprung up in 2001 when John Woo was spose to direct, but now the new film is definately a go: http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=8982

    Fraggle Rock film in development

Wow, we've been hit with a massive whammy of glorious news. This is literally some of th ebiggest news to hit Muppet Central in the 7 years I've been on here. I cannot wait to go see MirrorMask next weekend, and now this, wow. It may appear selling the Muppets to Disney was the smart...

It's not easy being (ever) green

I forgot who said it or where it was said; but alas within JHC circles it was believed that the only person who could do Gonzo was Goelz. I think Jacobson has fit in nicely with Oz' characters, and I like Baretta's Rowlf, and so on. Statler and Waldorf sound as good as ever to me, and heck...

It's not easy being (ever) green

the way I see it: the good: The Muppets will have a new talent pool for new characters for future tv productions, etc for new characters or replacements for cacant characters. the bad: So when "Kermit" appears at a Time Square opening, while before we assumed it was to be Steve Whitmire...

    Save the Muppets

Holy crap, this is the thing we as Mupept fans feared. a big NO THANK YOU to Disney for even considering this. My friends, if this happens it will truly be the end of Muppetdom as we know it. Witht he exception of a few interchangable characters, the Muppets are by and large who they are...
