Actually Sesame Street was right under JHC along with Fraggle Rock and the Muppets until 2000 when the EM.TV merger happened. It's actually good Sesame is under seperate control and autonomy from Disney.
Man I am so sick of every interviewer asking 'about the status of Kermit and Miss Piggy'...I dont think I've ever seen/read one interview with Kermit that didnt involve that one. I like the part where Kermit pretends he can't spell though...sadly, that's how a lot of people type!
Hey, I was 26 when...um...yeah. *looks around* The look on Waldorf's face as he looks toward Statler was too much indeed. We need more cryptic references tho!
Because of the stereotype that geek guys into Lord of the Rings/Harry Potter/Star Wars/Stra Trek/D&D can't get girlfriends.
So what happens to the prototypes of Muppet figures never released...ebay?
I see Sesame Street figure line as the direct continuation as the Muppet line...it's no coincidence they are in the exact same scale. And what about that unreleased Gobo Fraggle figure?
Here's the direct link to the 4 minute video: it shows clips from Sex and Violence pilot, CBS Pitch, and a press junket interview with Kermit:

Well given it's Disney...I don't see why they wouldnt release it. I would love all of these on dvd with the uncut UK sketches.
Of course my dream is to have Muppets@Walt Disney World and Jim Henson Hour(err, first half hour) on dvd some day as well.
>>> Passion of the Christ gag when Dorothy meets the Scarecrow.<<<
haha! Oh man, they shoulda left that in. The Passion of The Frog...I can see the parody poster now.
JimHillMedia is the biggest anti disney, Disney lover fansite. Kind of a paradoxial nature going on...but I happen to love his articles on Muppetdom. It's clear he has a pasison for em, which is rare in this day and age. I like hearing a mix of optimism and sheer cynicism as well.
Ok...so to...
Well I mean sure they'd end up in the 75% off bin at Suncoast in a few months, but they looked ot be th ebest minis ever:)
At any rate, hopefully they will sell the painted prototypes on ebay...I'm willing to pay some good scrilla if in fact they will never be released publicly.
Any news on the Electric Mayhem mini figures? For those that saw the pix, they looekd way better than the regular 6-5" line version. It would be an absolute shame to see these never released. Heck I'd pay $50 for a set, they are that darn cool.
Btw, does anyone know where the pix to these...
The constant of the moment pop references really dates material fast. Another reason why the Oz thing was such an embarassment.
I said this in 1998 on here, and I'll say it again...there will always be two camps of Muppet fans...those who see the Muppets merely as 'nostalgia'...and those who...
In the animation department, even tho Disney has oddly enough given up 2d animation, they and Pixar smack Dreamworks up an ddown in the cgi department. I absolutely cnanot stand Dreamworks animation, so Disney has something going right.
Perhaps in a few years we as fans can see if indeed...
I guess some mortified parents complained. Did anyone video capture th ebonus clips? I still can't figure out how to do that. At any rate, it's amazing how there are still people out there who have no clue that the Muppets transcent G rated material, and can be seen on whole different plains of...
Psssst....someone needs to tell the Diz that noone goes to Friendster anymore, it's all about Myspace. Myspace has 22 million users, I think Friendster has like 5:)
My goodness, these keep getting more edgy and random...I LOVE IT!
Maybe Disney is taking a cue from Wonder Showzen?
I mean references to illegal mexican drug smuggling, bashing Nascar/confederate flag culture...and Swedish Chef pulling out aframed mugshot of OJ Simpson?
That was...
Oh I know...things are different now...eveyr year the Muppets under JHC were slipping farther and farther away into obscurity. But, at least they were still *our* Muppets. Living in a post JHC Muppet world just doesnt feel th esame. Heck, they can't even come up with a decent logo. Disney has...
