    One of those running gags...

Have you seen the movie comedy Airplane? Two Hare Krishna followers are on the plane (because the joke used to be they always hung out at the airport giving you flowers). They're the guys with the robes and shaved heads.

Yeah I believe they used the same puppet, and you also see him on Fraggle Rock as Mudwell.

    One of those running gags...

Yes it did and I love that one, where it says "Lost? Try The Reverend Harry Krishna!" LOL.

    One of those running gags...

Yeah he's saying Hare Krishna, it was a religious movement big in the '70s built on Hindu principles. There were a lot groups popping up then as alternatives to mainstream religion. So the joke in the film is basically if you're lost (as in spiritual confused) maybe you should try Hare Krishna!

The "What Commercial was that?!" Thread

Well one thought I have, if you think it could be Wayne Gretsky you could see if there's any active fan pages or communities about him on the Web, somewhere there might know for sure.

    The RHLC!

That's great because I love tuna sandwiches and Ginger Ale, lol. So Richard and I have something else in common, and Elmo and I are further apart. Sounds about right to me! ;)

Will Sesame Street produce another movie for theaters?

Yeah there were kids doing that when I went to see The Muppets. Someone in the audience was brave enough to yell, "Anyone want to pretend to parent?" LOL. Unfortunately even that didn't motivate the moron adults to control their kids. It's incredibly inconsiderate because it's expensive to go to...

    Best New Muppet Poll

Well to be fair, I actually didn't notice Clifford the first time so I probably would have voted for him. :)

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

Yeah Hopper starts out as the typical ambitious businessman but then seems to forget that in America you can't force people (or um, intelligent frogs) to work for you, that's called slavery, lol. Actually that's one aspect of the Muppet movies that I always found amusing. There's always this...

Golden Globes - What's the Point?

Obviously someone has to lose in order for it to be a contest, but it's pretty much a guarantee that the winners will be the most visible stars. There's so much great talent out there and it will NEVER be honored on these "award shows." They're the equivalent of your High School drama club...

Fan Poll: Favorite Sesame Street Christmas Production

I honestly don't think it would have appealed to me as a preschooler. That's actually something I had to deal with a lot as a kid; if you didn't like what's acceptable and popular, something was wrong with you. And they made you pay for it, kids and adults alike. And the whole Elmo's World...

Fan Poll: Favorite Sesame Street Christmas Production

Yeah rumor has it that plot line was dropped due to fears over racial tensions. Which is a shame because that's the kind of thing Sesame Street always fought against.

Golden Globes - What's the Point?

There is no point to these "award shows" anymore. They're rigged beyond belief, you know the major stars are going to win regardless of talent, meanwhile genuinely gifted working actors will get the shaft. It's all about supporting the Hollywood mainstream industry and not whether a film is...

Fan Poll: Favorite Sesame Street Christmas Production

It's called Christmas Eve on Sesame Street and I'd highly recommend watching the TV special that went with it. It's on DVD and it remains a true classic. :wisdom:

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

The man I read about in the Bible has no ego to speak of and cares more about how we treat others than how we treat him. That is why he is worthy. : ) Is that why we're compassionate? To earn brownie points? ;)

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

Exactly. It's a frustration and a longing anyone with a dream can identify with. :)
