Scooter Appreciation Thread For The Most Underappraciated, Disrespected Muppet of Ever

Yeah I think the essence of Scooter and his tendency to get very passionate about things is there. ;)

TV Alert: Muppets at the 84th Academy Awards on ABC

Oh you're right, this should have happened years ago, fer sure.

    The RHLC!

Yup that was definitely a pleasant surprise. And that he got so much time focused on him on the Being Elmo documentary this past year. Have you been able to see it? It didn't change my cynical opinion of Elmo's World, lol, but it was still an enjoyable watch, especially for Richard fans. ;)

    Adventures in Wonderland

And I love how it was brought up that the most popular fan question was "How did the Hatter and Hare meet?" because I was one of the fans who first asked it, lol.

Speculation: Potential Sequel for "The Muppets"

Right, I'm saying the Muppets have never been just purely bright and cheerful. I can't really judge MTI since I haven't seen the whole thing. Though there a difference between referencing death and being dark.

That movie gave me nightmares. That's all I'm going to say, lol. ;)

Speculation: Potential Sequel for "The Muppets"

Exactly, I have friends who love MCC and MFS and they know I don't, lol, but we just move on and focus on what we both enjoy. The Muppets aren't Barney, everything doesn't have to be all bright and happy 24/7. ;) That makes sense. I'm glad that I ended up enjoying the new film, but I don't...

    Anyone else sick of this?

Lol yeah, and ultimately the only way to really avoid that is to make a conscious effort to restrict your Internet and other media viewership. It is possible. I managed to go into Return of the King virtually blind as far as spoilers, lol.

    Anyone else sick of this?

Yeah I'm actually really surprised I had never read about it until I actually saw the movie. It definitely made the scene more effective. It gives me some hope that surprises are still possible even in the Internet era, lol. ;)

Speculation: Potential Sequel for "The Muppets"

Well to be fair, as much as some fans like that era, it was not the Muppets most successful time. The post-era era had 20 years to win the public over and overall it didn't. In fact it turned off a lot of people.

Videos: Deleted Scene and Bloopers from "The Muppets" Blu-ray

Well in a way, it's worse than an attack. As DrTooth said, it is a marketing ploy that is encouraging unnecessary and wasteful spending when many Americans are out of work and struggling to get by. I have a perfectly working DVD player and for me to have to spend my money (that I kinda need...

Speculation: Potential Sequel for "The Muppets"

Not necessarily, it's a well known staple of sequels to make some convenient excuse as to why characters played by high profile actors don't reappear. ;)

    My Take on Artie Esposito

I agree Snowth, I was impressed with the job he did. Of course Steve does a good job, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that other performers can do a good job too and I don't see what the big deal was either. :)

Videos: Deleted Scene and Bloopers from "The Muppets" Blu-ray

Yup, just found it on Netflix recently which is great. Now the documentary has not changed my cynical view of Elmo's World, heh, but I loved Kevin's overall story. It's very inspirational, particularly for young people starting out their careers. You will likely encounter a lot of setbacks, but...
