Can we PLEASE implement a rule against bumping old threads?

Oh I definitely don't think you were trying to be hurtful. I just thought it was a tricky thing to enforce. No worries. :)

Can we PLEASE implement a rule against bumping old threads?

I honestly don't think such a guideline is possible because where do you draw the line on what is contributing and what isn't? If this kind of thing happens I just ignore it and carry on, no big deal. :)

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

Perhaps because traditionally it's assumed people will not notice if a message is delivered in kid format. They'll think, "Oh well they can't possibly be saying that, it's an innocent little kid's show!"

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

Exactly, it basically took a pretty good idea and made it even better, which is rare. It's rare for adult movies to be that insightful today, never mind kid's movies.

    The RHLC!

Finally got to see the Being Elmo documentary on Netflix. While I still have reservations about Elmo's World, I did enjoy this documentary, thought Kevin's story was very inspiring and appreciate how much attention Richard was given. As I said in another thread, I'm always afraid some less than...

    The Weekly Poll #10

I did finally get to see the Being Elmo documentary. (Thanks Netflix...and Tough Pigs for mentioning that it was on Netflix, lol). Now I am a critic of Elmo's World and I still stand by that. But I did greatly enjoy this documentary. Kevin's story is truly an inspiration for any kid with a...

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

Yeah I guess reboot is the more accurate term. This whole thing is just such a crime to me. The original Lorax book and cartoon is so incredibly dark and melancholy and spot on regarding environmental issues. And for this monstrosity to now come along and destroy all that just really makes me...

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

You know I did forget that and you're right those movies are also very well done. Ultimately it came down to the quality of the writing. The jokes were sophisticated and not cheap laughs, yet other times the story was taken very seriously and you absolutely believed in their world. In fact I...

    Surprising Celebrity Ages

Oh yeah I knew you knew, just wanted to add to the conversation, lol. That is awesome experience btw. :) Of course in my opinion they would have been better off not filming that monstrosity at all, hehe. ;) Oh yeah I adore that film. It's just interesting to realize how we taken for granted...

    Surprising Celebrity Ages

Right because hiring real teenagers is a drag, you have to make sure they go to school while filming, and they can only work for a certain amount of time, etc. We tend to think 20 year olds in movies look realistic enough as teenagers. But interesting trivia, for Ferris Bueller's Day Off, John...

Signs the World IS Coming to an End in 2012

I agree, the one funny joke was Uncle Matt's postcard, lol. Other than that it was just obvious they weren't that familiar with the show.

    The Weekly Poll #10

I picked Karen Prell, I really loved her story about how she was unsure if she could play the loud and confident Red but really ended up making the character her own. Very inspirational. :excited:

How will the characters grow over time

At the same time, there are a lot of fans who consider them already married. ::raises hands:: Hehe Not least because Piggy refers to Kermit as "hubby" during their 30 anniversary special. ;)

The "Have You Ever Wondered..." Thread

Because it wasn't the standard to credit everybody. That doesn't mean there was only a few people working on the film. As far as necessary, it depends on the level of film I suppose.
