Lol, well just have to wait for the next birthday then. I actually did ask for a Muppet themed one a couple years ago and thankfully no one thought it was too weird, lol.
Yay! Somebody's....already gotten married! :)
Yeah I saw that from the fans on IMDB. They liked the Muppets but were not necessarily hardcore fans so a lot of them were asking canon questions that no one could really answer, lol.
Understandable, lol. For the record, while I am a proud member of the "Kermit and Piggy are married" team, I have no problem with them seeming to be unmarried in a future project. It is just a movie after all, hehe.
Good movie but I would argue they felt safe with it because Tim Burton's darker works were already popular.
The main thing for the studios is "are you just coming off a success?" The Muppets weren't at the time. Now they are and now maybe things can be different.
Sounds like the same problem...
I was just astonished seeing some of these deleted scenes. Much more reminiscent of the original Muppet films. And that's what was deleted?
But it's not the Muppets fault, it's just the state of movies right now.
Hence why many fans have been understandably perturbed about the DVD/Blu Ray issue lately. ;)
Yeah hopefully they can balance this out more if they do another film. :)
It does come down to "we control what you buy." It's pretty creepy actually. Not that it's anything new. And obviously they're not the only ones doing it. But the working and middle class have really come under attack lately on all fronts and this just feels like the latest.
The awkward thing about period pieces is trying to shoe horn characters into roles that don't fit them. Heck, even when they were technically playing themselves, they had trouble fitting in even the major characters, like Scooter for instance. He had a job on Muppet Show but in TMM and GMC they...
Exactly, I was fine with transitioning from VHS to DVD because it was a very obvious leap in technology that came with a lot of benefits. DVD to Blu Ray does not feel like the same major transition and just comes across as unnecessary and manipulative.
