Wow it's eerie how similar that was to my childhood (including the Star Trek part, lol). Well I was once taught in Religion class that if you only had one close friend, that was enough. It's a lot better than having 10 friends in a petty, underhanded clique. ;)
Lol, yeah like I said, someone thought that was a cute little transition into listing the side effects, but as you say, it doesn't really make much sense. ;)
Yeah I don't know if it's because they're afraid to advertising to kids these days, or maybe they just literally don't have to...
Me too, I used to have one of the McDonald's toys with Mac Tonight on a motorcycle, lol. I also remember that one commercial where you see Mac Tonight's shadow go across a kid's bedroom wall ::shivers:: Lol
They need an excuse to start listing the side effects seemingly out of nowhere, and especially in a cartoon you need something interesting going on on the screen. But yeah the doctor appearing on a screen wasn't the most creative transition.
Ugh, yeah I wouldn't recommend that, lol.
If it did anything I would have to go for something temporary. I get bored quickly and change interests all the time and don't want to get stuck with anything, lol.
Well I rediscovered the Fraggles during a very stressful time in my life and many of the songs became a source of comfort for me. I remember being very inspired by "Catch a Tail by the Tiger" (and marveled at how they managed to use the word "capitulate" on a kid's show, lol).
I used "Now You...
That's great Lola, good for you! I totally understand, I loved History class but I hated it when it was reduced to "This President, that war, Next President, next war." Ugh, lol.
Glad your speech went well. :)
Hi sorry I didn't notice this before, wow that was a great interview! Very exhaustive (in a good way ;) ). I love how he was so excited when Jim Henson visited the studio and meeting Frank Oz.
Baby Fozzie was my favorite growing up, I wanted to be a comedian because of him, lol. I believe my...
Hopefully this won't affect another movie. But worst case scenario and it does, at least the Muppets got to go out on a successful product. :)
But anyway no point in assuming either way yet. :)
That stuff does bother me sometimes. It's like in my High School Drama club when all the boys wanted to be directors, and the girls just wanted to be actresses in their movies. No wonder there aren't more female directors. Girls are too often more than willing to worship boys rather than develop...
I just think mindless Pop like Bieber is harmful in its own way. It encourages the notion that the only thing young girls are good for is screaming for some vapid pretty boy fad.
All the major cable news channel have a bit of a bias. Ideally the truth is in there somewhere in between but it's a tricky thing. All the yelling during the debates is for the benefit of the audience. It's entertainment, it's Television.
For me Fraggle Rock's ability to address edgier issues and make powerful statements has always reminded me of that old song: "I think I could say something (if you know what I mean). But if I really say it, the radio won't play it. Unless I lay it between the lines." This show, and pretty much...
