Romney wants to cut funding for PBS and Sesame Street

Yeah it's been extremely difficult for me as well. I do think Romney will just be a repeat of Bush and we don't need that. That's why we're having these problems with the economy. As for Obama, I don't love everything the Democrats stand for but Obama did a couple of things I appreciated. But...

Romney wants to cut funding for PBS and Sesame Street

Lol, yay. But yeah to turn it back to current events (sort of) I love how when Obama said in response later, "We didn't know Big Bird was driving the federal deficit" someone in the crowd yelled, "And Elmo too!" Lol

So I guess that would be Ron Paul's position?

Romney wants to cut funding for PBS and Sesame Street

Well we've certainly had the practice, lol. :halo: But I'd still like to see Obama and Romney go at it: Obama: I am in full support of marriage between a frog and a pig. Romney: But the issue here today is whether this particular frog and pig were ever legally married!

Oh yeah I can just picture Obama and Romney debating that one, lol.

Yup, the biggest myth floating around today is that any one politician is more honest than another.

I think we're on the same page here on both counts. ;)

Exactly, the whole thing is embarrassing, like when Dan Quayle went after Murphy Brown (there's a history lesson for ya, kiddies, lol).

How To Create a New Muppet Fan?!!!

That is possible. I know I've read that some people who try watching Wizard of Oz later in life just don't get the appeal, lol. I think ultimately it really comes down to trying a bunch of things and seeing what works for the individual. When I was a kid my Dad wanted me to like Monty Python...

    Questions about anything

Yeah that's how my Dad remembered Paul Williams, that he was more known for being a songwriter for others than as a public figure. Writers are always underestimated and taken for granted.

    The Worst of SpongeBob

Yeah pretty typical jump the shark material. Subtlety goes out the window. Sometimes you just run out of ideas and a show shouldn't be kept on the air.

    Holy Crap, I'm Overwhelmed...

Good luck with negotiations! Just make sure whether they'd wait or not because you don't want the opportunity to slip by.

    Words You Overuse

I'll have to join the "I'm sorry" club too. People are always getting annoyed at me for using it too much, lol.

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

I hate to say this, but part of the blame goes to the women's rights groups who go around accusing the networks of sexism, thus pressuring the networks to create quota filler characters with zero personality. Rights groups are important, but sometimes they can be very narrow thinking.

'87 April was strongest in the Channel 6 scenes. I always liked the way she had to sarcastically put up with all the crazies around her, lol.

Yawn, lol. Concentrate on making a likeable character first. Of course it's much easier to just fill a quota. Yeah Mona Lisa worked well with Raphael actually. That was another time when I could believe the 87 turtles were teenagers. There's far too many tunnel vision people in this world, lol.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 43

They're also probably worrying that their kids will throw hissy fits without an Elmo's World fix. Which wouldn't have happened if they had broaden their children's outlook a bit more in the first place, heh. I was with Jon Stone on this matter. If the audience doesn't want it, they don't...
