Thanks! Yes, the photo with Animal hanging from the beam is the collar purchased from the seller from the other thread. That was his first batch. The other collar is one I made from a rubber Halloween accessory. I also changed Animal and Gonzo's pupil focus and did a little painting and trimming...
I'll have to agree with you there. Animal really required a lot of post-purchase styling while Gonzo's nose sock seems to fade away from afar. But Animal does look a lot better with the replica collar.
I agree. And maybe some company sometime will figure out how to make at least a high quality plush and other figural items that doesn't have the number of restrictions these posers require. The popularity of more accessible items could lead to interest in posers again. :)
Don't worry. It's coming. That store must have sold out or will restock in one or more of the next year's coming quarters. This was probably somewhere mixed in with the ornaments at sometime this holiday season. Expect a boom around next year's film. I just wonder how big.
That's a good idea.
I've been here since 2000 and lurked long before that, yet my post-count has now decreased in relation to how connected I feel to the forum. I've had little success with reviving the site and forum (which should go hand-in-hand), but I'll certainly post more if MC starts...
I'm the same way. I've learned to say what seems right at the time and let the other person inform me of what makes them most comfortable. I guess to me the only way to treat everybody equally is to treat them like individuals. If that makes any sense at all.
That is exactly how I feel too! :super:
That is very true. I canceled my cable because too much of it is exploitation and infotainment for profit. This ranges from cable news to reality television. It's all highly addictive and far too toxic for me. I'd say the media is today's cocaine. It...
Equal Rights for *Everybody* would be nice!
I enjoy hearing people of other cultures and beliefs share their experiences and that includes Christians. I personally don’t believe in converting someone to my way of thinking – I just want to create a dialogue of mutual respect and understanding...
That's what I've been hoping too and all signs have been pointing to great things. There haven't been any reported development issues with this film like others past and they've been very careful and solid with every effort so far. This is not the rush job, half-baked effort or attempt to make...
I don't understand the underlying anger and disdain in your posts; but when the insults masquerading as insights begin to include solid Muppet pillars like Frank Oz and Jerry Juhl it is clear that common sense has been abandoned. I understand the role of devil’s advocate, yet there’s only so...
I just thought these were funny and since this is a thread about toys, I felt like posting them. They're 9" talking plushes and the Jawa has eyes that light up. Our shop will probably stock them when they come out this Spring (anything Star Wars is golden), but the SRP is rather high. We'd have...
I'm certainly not asking you to stop believing any of it, of course. It's just my intention to bring about a mutual understanding and respect for the flip-side of your chosen belief. Not to contradict it.
I pretty much agree with what you're saying. Just clearing up the semantics between...
I see this movie as a world-in-a-world-in-a-world that includes all of the Muppets' history instead of reinventing it. But would this telling even be considered true. The Muppets have always been funny that way.
There's been so much floundering with the Muppet brand since Jim Henson's death...
Re-read that last bit because that isn't what I said at all. I said the performers have been doing a good job. Nobody knows how the film will turn out because they're still shooting it. Skepticism is one thing, but wanting to be negative right out of the box is just downright unMuppety. Of...
The opening weekend will come down the promotion, advertising and timing. It has a great chance of success seeing that they're reassembling the classic magic rather than eclipsing or remaking it with special effects and gimmicks like Yogi or Garfield.
The "Muppets Movie" has a great chance...
It still a matter of perspective
And there's the rub. Your faith in something unseen gives you strength to believe in it and I completely understand that, but there's a difference between the reassurance of spiritual comfort (usually through the Holy Spirit for Christians) and knowing for...
