Hey Ken, buddy pal. Remember that book I sent you? Free of charge? Just a favor from one buddy to another? Remember that? Just making sure. That's all.
Nice pics. Really enjoyed the daily bit. Now I've got to add Momma and Super Scooter to my desktop collage. Except, I don't have...
I don't know if it's a regular rule, but there's been a ton of army and war figures added to the shelves of toy stores around here. Toys R Us has a whole wall of military stuff. Although GIJoe is one part of a bunch of 80s nostalgia coming back, I don't think it can owe its current resurgence...
Well, I know the micronauts guys have their micropolis thing--yahoo group?--and I'm sure there's gotta be something for GI Joe out there. I'm just not interested enough to go try and find it.
Oh, I understand now. Though Palisades board wasn't nearly as active as Muppet Central or certain other boards I look at periodically.
And personally, I don't think this place should substitute for the entire Palisades boards, seeing as how this is Muppet Central not action-figure.com. But...
Well, until a solution is found for Palisades' board problems, there are some regular board members there without a home. I thought I'd create a small thread for those seeking sanctuary who as of yet have not integrated themselves into the Muppet Central community.
I hope the Muppet Central...
Nothing set in stone on Pepe's accessories yet. Ken mentioned they were considering a "door in a jar" and a small door that comes from the jar (I think). Also possibly Rizzo's pizza if it doesn't work out for Rizzo.
It's been up? I keep missing it if it has. I just keep getting that "slight problem with the database error."
I'll try to hold on, but I shall not be held responsible for my actions if it lasts much longer--especially this close to Toy Fare and a contest that supposedly just finished.
They are most definitely in production with a full-length Wallace & Gromit movie. There was supposed to be another one before that, "The Tortoise and The Hare" but it's had production problems and at the moment I'm not sure which will come first.
There's also a bunch of Wallace & Gromit web...
Hey Se-Bas you may want to post this either in "Ask Ken" or over at the Palisades forums (www.palisadestoys.com and follow the links -- though the board is currently down at the moment.)
By the way, the word is "rare" not "rear." Just thought I'd point that out because they mean completely...
I'm pretty sure it's because they are mean and evil and want to hurt all Muppet fans in every way possible.
That and the fact that they want this line to last as long as possible by holding key characters until later series to keep up consumer demand for the product.
But mostly it's just...
Oh, I still enjoy it. And watch it nearly religiously. Didn't mean to give the impression otherwise. There are things that bug me, but in the end, it's social commentary.
Simpsons will make fun of ("comment on") sitcom/animation cliches and then use those same cliches a few episodes later...
There's a really nebulous balance between pleasing the fans and pleasing the "market."
I'm glad Palisades visits and listens to the fans and asks for their input. However, I'm also glad that after listening to what we say, they make their own decisions. That leads to lots of fun surprises...
