Congrats!!! I'm so excited for this Muppety explosion. Kinda sad that the World of Muppets didn't make it in. Let's hope Kenny's new gets a spot in the Mighty Fine contest. Many of the entries are on white colored shirts so I'll probably stick to purchasing Gonzo Floating (in the wind), the...
Yeah, i guess it just bothers me that small town's happiness seems a little more exaggerated than human characters should be. Maybe it makes more sense in the context of the film. The soundtrack vocals seemed muppety so i expected something of that sort.
On another note, i am impressed about...
Welcome to MC Forums. :) I get what you're saying, but some of us longtime fans are also graphic artists so we're going to give voice to our critical eyes. Also, just because criticism is offered doesn't mean that it's not constructive or that we won't be able to turn all that off while watching...
I'm sorry to hear about that. I got a strange feeling. He was very pushy and insistent that I respond immediately after he emailed and facebooked me. A professional usually provides some specifics on the scope of work and then asks how much it will cost. I took the guy off my friends list. Going...
I too was contacted by a puppeteer named Joseph Sirrico to create some graphic tees. I can't attest to the honor of his request, but when asked for details in order for me to itemize an invoice, he replied with a very vague "December" and then didn't reply again. Needless to say that lack of...
No, you were not. This is the same thing you always do!
The way you continually pick at statements you disagree with is like when a child keeps asking "Why?" to an adult in order to wear them down until they relent to your point of view. It's subversive bullying and you've been warned before...
It was a rhetorical comment because in my opinion the exaggerated movements look more like themepark-based dancers than cinematic dancers as featured in GMC's opening sequence "Hey A Movie". It may look better in context, but was not the type of musical number I envisioned when hearing the...
I do understand the premise of the film. I've followed it from the beginning. That's why i said muppety foods and objects rather than actual Muppets. That sequence just seems a little saccharine for a Muppet movie. Maybe it will fit in better with context.
I remember hearing that MCC was originally going to be a much different project under the direction of Jim Henson and it was going to feature Scooter as the Ghost of Christmas Present and Gonzo as the Ghost of Christmas Future. Instead they went for something a little more stoic than silly with...
I guess every film is a gamble no matter how high the bar or how pure the intentions. Henson needs a partner to cough up the tens of millions needed for its film projects. New Regency seems like as good a fit as any and a better one than Weinstein. :coy:
The Henson Company is operating as it always has, just without the charismatic leadership of Jim Henson. He worked hard to find partnerships. I'm sure it wasn't easy for him, but it was a lot easier than without him. A smaller company like JHC doesn't invest its own money into its own projects...
I'm looking at the delicious Muppety donut while others still choose to look at the hole.
It is unfair to compare other Disney merchandise with Muppets merchandise. They're entirely different properties with different markets and films like G-Force don't have a history or the hurdle of being...
I agree with this! Frank may have had something in development, but who says that wouldn't have been yet another of many shelved attempts? Disney took so long bringing this film into production and Segel remained passionate throughout the lengthy process. He created an opportunity, seized it and...
