Welcome to the forum. If you saw the movie too, then please feel free to answer my questions! I think we all want to hear from people who've viewed the film or are somehow attached to the production. My question was about the very slim chance we'd get Fraggle or Sesame cameos. It's a longshot.
I'm attending the show this Thursday, so if there's any other form members who are gonna be there that night look for me! I'll be in black but with bright green Kermit Adidas sneakers. :)
:skeptical: Glad you took a shine to Johnny! Some of the favorite things i worked on:
Yes, the song titles are mostly mine. We couldn't use copyrighted titles. Hehe. :concern:
I'm so glad you brought up the history of difficult topics in children's entertainment along with the inclusion of Sesame's nixed divorce episode. That's exactly where this discussion should have started. I guess the absurdity of the recent petition obscured a much more interesting conversation...
Question only for hiho2themuppets:
Okay, i guess this is the biggest non-plot related spoiler question of all, but i gotta ask it. Do any of the Fraggles or Sesame Street characters make cameos in the film? i know it's unlikely, but it is possible with the recent relationship with Disney and...
Thanks. :o I agree, it's still a sensitive subject and one that Sesame can and probably should touch on in some way in the future once this bizarre petition fades away. That really didn't help to do anything but stir the pot!
Sesame has a history of including all sorts of people and minorities...
Wow! :eek:I don't support officially assigning Bert and Ernie as gay characters either but I am shocked by your rather extreme reaction. Sesame Street was created for both educational purposes and to promote greater social understanding in the minds of kids. That's also the reason for Fraggle...
I'm getting antsy too. :concern: Rest assured the Mosaic will be printed. All I can report is that Threadless has paid me and now officially own my design. :) I've been in contact with them about some other things too so it's just a waiting game now. My Mosaic selection hasn't officially been...
Oooh, well that sounds exciting and it seems that we have similar taste in Muppet films. I'm sorry to hear about Pepe, but it appears that Scooter and Rowlf are in it a whole bunch so that's a good trade-off.
How was Scooter in this? I know a lot of people will be asking that.
No spoilers please, but was it good? Was it the final, polished cut? How long was it? How does it rate with the other 6 motion pictures? And is Pepe in it very much?
I don't approve of assigning such labels to people either, but I will characterize her treatment of gay people as monstrous. A decade from now her statements will largely be seen as bigotry run amok in a party that still permitted it. There's no difference in her hate-speech than that of Islamic...
That is really dangerous and causes lifelong dysfunction of the alleged "converted" and their family members.
Oooh, and to Beaker about the Sheldon asexuality. While I agree with you about the character, the actor Jim Parsons is actually out and gay.
I agree. There are so many microscopic nature and nurture factors that shape an individual. It's useless to try and pin one thing to one aspect of a whole person. I personally believe many genetic factors lay the groundwork for an individual and then their environment shapes what kind of...
My top two faves are The Wishing Song and The Muppet Show Theme. They both demonstrate the most band-style creativity while maintaining true to the spirit and melody of the original.
I also like Weezer's Rainbow Connection. There's nothing wrong with singing the song straight, but I expected...
Ultimately it's not about how flamboyant or masculine one is perceived. Those are arbitrary standards. It's about not acting like anything and just being yourself. :super:
