As a giant Spidey fan, I approve of the new look.

I imagine that's how he gets his kicks anymore. I'm waiting for the day when they make a casting announcement for this film that doesn't make everyone groan and roll their eyes.

    Favorite Non-Henson Puppets?

Those are pretty cool looking puppets. Good craftsmanship.

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

I joked about Shia playing Donatello, but then I remembered Corey Feldman voiced him in the original, and Feldman was sort of the Shia Lebouf of the 80's. Anyway, I can't see why Bay is so opposed to using the original origin. I had the same problem with the new Spider-man film; the original...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

The GoG were in an episode of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which was cancelled earlier this year. But yes, while I feel like the other members of the Guardians would fit right into the MCU, a talking loud-mouth racoon is kind of a hard sell.

Disney buying Lucasfilm, Star Wars Episode VII coming in 2015

I assume everybody on the planet agrees that the Podrace scene in episode 1 is easily one of the worst things ever. I mean, even Lucas must realize how dumb it was by now. Anyway, maybe after they release the reboots they can remake the prequels and do them right. I see no reason why Maul...

    Favorite Muppet Character?

My favorite Muppet changes quite often, as I like them all so much I cannot decide which I like best. Currently my favorite is Fozzie, as I feel I can relate to him the most.

    Favorite Non-Henson Puppets?

Pretty self-explanatory, what are your favorite puppets that aren't Muppets or weren't created by Jim Henson's creature shop? Mine: 1. The puppets of MST3K- The robots aboard the Satellite of Love are without question my fav puppets after the Muppets. Servo is my favorite. 2. Eureeka's...

Yes, perhaps Daredevil will become popular overnight thanks to a breakout film, like Iron Man. I can't say the same for Rocket Racoon.

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

If there's enough negative fan backlash like there was when Bay's original plan was revealed, maybe they'll scrap the project altogether and somebody better suited will pick it up. I don't think we'll be so lucky:sigh:. Bay might as well get it over with and cast Shia Lebouf as Donatello; you...

    Expensive Toys

No offense taken. I think I get what you're saying though. The merchandise you're complaining about is meant for kids to take out and enjoy, not something for a toy collector to lock away for a decade til the value skyrockets; there's no reason for the price gauging. $10 for that single Minion...

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

I don't much care for the news I've been hearing about the reboot, least of all Megan Fox's casting. I heard Shia Lebouf was cast as Casey Jones at some point, but it sounded like too much of a bad joke to be true. Anway, nobody can play Casey Jones better than Elias Koteas. I'd love to see...

Disney buying Lucasfilm, Star Wars Episode VII coming in 2015

I would've liked to have seen Maul be the Big Bad of the prequels, with the final confrontation being saved for Ep. 2 or 3, instead of him being killed in the 1st film. They could've kept Darth Maul for AT LEAST Ep. 2 and scrapped Dooku altogether, as he paled in comparison. I heard they brought...

    Expensive Toys

You give me grief because I was complaining in the Box Office thread, and Dr. Tooth gives me grief because I'm not complaining about the same toy company as he is. It's more than a little annoying, really:mad:.

    Expensive Toys

What the He11 is wrong with me complaining about expensive toys? I have just as much a right to complain as Dr. Tooth, no more, no less.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

As one of the few Daredevil fans out there, I'm quite happy with this news. I didn't think the Fox film was as terrible as people say (Jennifer Garner made a terrible Elektra, but that's my only complaint), but I'd like to see DD brought into Disney's MCU. He's not quite an A-lister, so I...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Worse than Mattel? I dunno if that's possible. Their Ghostbusters figures are cheaply made and grossly overpriced, as is EVERY product they release. If only Neca or any other company had gotten the Ghostbusters rights, we would have gotten figures that ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE the characters and had...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

When I was a kid people would laugh at the idea of a $20 action figure. I remember the 1st time I realized how expensive toys were getting; I was about 12-13, walked into my local KB Toys (now closed) and saw a DragonBall Z Goku figure for $10. I thought "wow, that's overpriced." Now the price...

Muppets From Space - Positives and Negatives

I didn't care for this film in general, but Phil Van Neuter was hilarious as always.

    Is Gonzo Being phased out?

I have to agree with Tooth; Gonzo was pretty much the star Muppet of MCC, MTI, and MFS, and I think he still had a big role in The Muppets, but they cut some of his screen time to give more to characters who had been out of the spotlight in the last few films, such as Scooter and Rowlf.
