What was the last Henson thing you bought?

Just today I got my Sideshow Weta Rowlf bust in the mail. I won it for $114 on eBay, which I believe is about as good a price as you're liable to get considering what most of the Weta busts go for. It looks great alongside my Weta Scooter and Link Hogthrob.

Pixar: Are the glory days over?

If I may offer my 2 cents, people treat sequels like this new trend from the last two decades, but it's waaaayyy older than people think. Even in the 19th to early 20th century, books had sequels all the time. The iconic Man in the Iron Mask is actually the third in the Three Musketeers Trilogy...

Comedian Jonathan Winters dies at 87

Yes, I saw that film when I was very young, and have been meaning to see it again. I liked his episode of the Muppet Show; as I recall, Statler:boo: and Waldorf:sleep: hired a Gypsy to curse the show . Good stuff. He will be missed.

Well, I hate Tom Cruise, and the whole post-Apocalypse theme has been done to death, so unless it gets truly glowing reviews, I won't be seeing it. I'll have to wait and see.

    Most Underused Muppets?

Yes, more Rowlf. He's the most prominent dog Muppet, and dogs are so cuddly and loveable:flirt:. Not to mention he's the oldest Muppet, along with Kermit. Like I said, he's much more normal than most of the Muppets, but that's what makes him interesting. If they ever make a new Muppet tv show...

Terrible Rumor: Muppet*Vision 3D to close in DisneyLand California

What's TMA again? "The Muppet Adventure?" While it would be a shame if they closed MV3D in Disneyland, as people mentioned we still have the one in Disneywolrd. Not to get off track, but I remember how sad I was when Universal closed down the Back To the Future ride. I'm a huge fan of the film...

    Dreams about Muppets...

I had a dream a couple nights ago where I was on vacation and I went into this quaint little store that carried antiques and crafts, and they were selling clay figures, about 3" high, of Statler and Waldorf reclining in wooden chairs. Statler and Waldorf were 2 separate figures, but they were...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Yeah, the whole 3-movie thing is ridiculous. I saw the original LotR trilogy, but had no interest in "The Hobbit," because from what I heard it really dragged and wasn't nearly as good as the other films. Anyway, when it comes to book to film translation, sometimes drastic changes need to be...

    Most Underused Muppets?

Rowlf is more normal than most of the Muppets, and I think the wackier characters, such as Swedish Chef, Gonzo, and Animal, tend to resonate most with fans. Still, he's always been one my favorites.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Interesting theory:). I agree with Muppetfan123 that it's best when the movie and the book are fairly different. As I said, many characters who live in the JP movie die in the novel and vice versa (e.g. Robert Muldoon lives in the book). Muldoon was my favorite character from the book, so I am a...

I saw JP: 3D Imax yesterday. The 3D was OKAY, which is the case with any movie not originally filmed with a 3D camera, but seeing it on a bigger screen was cool. JP is one of my all-time fav films, but I still picked up on things I never noticed before. I was 7 when it came out, so this was my...

    Most Underused Muppets?

As I've noted before, Dr. Phil Van Neuter has a lot of untapped potential. He would make a great nemesis/ rival for Bunsen Honeydew. If Brian won't voice him, maybe they'll recast him.

Saw the 11:45am showing of Evil Dead. It was very good. *MAJOR SPOILERS* It's a sequel, not a remake. There's a 1-second after-credits sequence featuring Ash (Bruce Campbell) saying "Groovy," implying it takes place after the original trilogy. I liked the plot; it's not just five *****...

    When you need to rant...

Well that's just plain rude of him:grr: . My coworker chews tobacco, and he spits ALL THE TIME, even when not chewing, cause I guess it becomes a habit. GROSS:mad:!!!

    The Darkwing Duck Thread

I haven't seen this show since I was a kid, but loved it as a child. I always liked Launchpad, since he was on both Darkwing Duck and Ducktales. I remember having the Launchpad and Bushroot figures, while my brother had Darkwing and Megavolt. We also each had our own gas gun. I hear the new...

    When you need to rant...

I wash my hands every time I use the bathroom, but there's been plenty of times when I'm in a public restroom and I see someone leave without washing their hands. Beyond the whole virus prevention thing, I believe it's just common courtesy. Speaking of common common courtesy, I get very annoyed...

    Most Underused Muppets?

Floyd had an OKAY role in The Muppets, but it definitely could have been bigger. He's my fav member of the Electric Mayhem, and I loved all the cynical quips he used to make on the old show; he could be such a jerk. In The Muppets, all we got was "Who cancelled the maid service?"

    Questions about anything

Why does eBay suck so hard now? In the last 6 months 70% of the items I've ordered were damaged. This never used to happen so frequently. Did the quality of the sellers go downhill? Is the post office to blame? The manufacturer? :sympathy::boo::grr:

    Film Critic Roger Ebert Dies

I always liked Siskel and Ebert. I loved the episode of "The Critic" (one of my all time fav tv shows) where Siskel and Ebert broke up. They both did their own voices and were very funny:). I know he was suffering very much toward the end, so at last his suffering is over.

    Most Underused Muppets?

He's back in the forefront now, but for close to two decades Scooter was barely used at all. Even when Hunt was still alive, in the late 80's to early 90's he didn't perform Scooter much; Scooter had relatively minor roles in Muppets Family Christmas and Muppets at Walt Disney World. Following...
