Getting episodes directly from Sesame Workshop

It's not just any TV show. It's a TV show that's been on the air for 45 years and has done more than 4,000 episodes. They have them all sitting on shelves and they won't let people see them. We're not the ones being selfish, it's the people at Sesame Workshop who are.

Getting episodes directly from Sesame Workshop

I still don't think you completely understand what it is we want. We demand justice and will not stand for it. I say we all gather and actually go to the Workshop and protest. Like we should all throw a tantrum or something until they get us episodes. How's that sound?

Getting episodes directly from Sesame Workshop

I think it's great that the library is being preserved, but what good does that do if much of it is never gonna be seen again? And maybe they can't send out 3,000+ episodes but like suppose there was just one episode you really wanted to see. What's the problem with getting a copy of just ONE...

Getting episodes directly from Sesame Workshop

It is well known that Sesame Workshop does NOT send out copies of episodes. However, I do know of some people that have managed to get some anyways, such as episodes 2-14. But I wanna say I really do not think it's fair that there's this massive library of episodes and they won't let anyone see...

Does Sesame Street still air classic segments?

That's not true. Sprout does not air any episodes from before Season 40 at this point. There is currently no place on television for classic Sesame Street whatsoever, and I'm not sure there will be ever again. I know this may sound totally crazy, but sometimes I still miss the days that Unpaved...

I wonder who composed the music for the "Lost Dog" film?

This piece of music was actually composed by Mark "Moogy" Klingman. Apparently he was well known in the 70s, and he wrote several other film scores for SS, such as "Llama at the Dentist."

Sesame Street Song Question (Busy People)

The song is called "What Do People Do" and it was written by Peter Fish and Benjamin Goldstein.

Your Thoughts: Half-hour Sesame Street begins on PBS September 1, 2014

I just watched it, and I have to say it really is not all that exciting. I thought there would maybe be a thing or two in the half hour version that wasn't in the original version, but that does not seem to be the case. I will say that if you've been anxious to check out this new half hour...

Season 10 episodes and more on YouTube

There is a guy on YouTube who has uploaded several rare classic episodes within the last few days, most notably 1199 and 1201, as well an an unknown season 13 episode. He also has a handful of season 21 episodes. I have to say I think this is the best thing that's happened in years. When I first...

New half-hour version of Sesame Street to debut on PBS Kids this fall

I thought I would revive this. Since it's less than a month away, it seems like not all PBS stations will be carrying it. It doesn't seem to have a separate title, but it appears to be a different episode than the full-hour version that airs that day. But it seems like most stations that are...

Is Sprout airing Seasons 30 to 32?

They have aired the episode, but unfortunately, they cut that segment out.

New half-hour version of Sesame Street to debut on PBS Kids this fall

I just saw a post from the SS fb page that there will be a new half hour version of the show coming this fall, in addition to the existing hour - long series. This should be interesting. It says it will have the word on the street segment, Cookies Crumb Pictures, Super Grover 2.0, and some of...

Coming Soon: Sesame Street Season 45

I just read that there will be an even brighter set for Season 45. I couldn't believe this. The set is already too bright as it is. How much more bright can they make the set? It seems like Sesame Street is becoming more like a cartoon show than a live-action show. But I also read there is going...

Is Sprout airing Seasons 30 to 32?

I really dont think Sprout, or any network would do anything like that. Sprout is a channel specifically designed for preschoolers, not for nostalgic fans. If the old format doesn't work on PBS, why would it work on Sprout?

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Some of it is, but whenever I think about how good the show used to be compared to how it is now, it makes me sad, and I just can't seem to enjoy it.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

I am just an overly nostalgic person. I went through a period of time when I didn't watch the show much, but one day in Spring of '97, SS was all that was on and so I watched it, and I saw this clip that I remembered from when I was really little, and it got me hooked on the show all over again...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

I think this has been the absolute worst season so far. Every single clip in HD except that one sketch with the CGI twiddlebugs from Season 38. It isn't the same show anymore, and it never will be. I know I've said this before, but this is how I feel. I think they're doing a good job, but I'm...

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

I wanna say that if they do end up remaking classic songs, I would really like it if they re - filmed it but used the original audio soundtrack. They did that a few times in Season 30. I doubt it'll happen, it's just a thought.

Sesame Street moved to 3:00 PM on Sprout

I was actually pretty happy with this change myself. It makes more sense to have SS in the late afternoon, just like it was in the old days.
