What Genie didn't tell Aladdin is that once Jafar took over as Master, Aladdin's wish count reset. In hindsight it was kind of a jerk move not to tell him
To be honest, The Muppets 2011 wasn't really a huge hit. It was a modest success compared to what Disney does. It had a budget of 45 mil and made 165 world wide. Compare that to say, toy story, which had a 30 mil budget and did 375mil world wide, and this was in 1995. In recent years, even...
I honestly hope it is. I hope this attempt at a new show is able to show case the Muppets once again and I hope some interest is ignited.
It's weird how the Muppets seem to disappear totally and then come back and then disappear again. In this day and age of media, you need to have a...
Or perhaps because there has not been any real substantial Muppet production since he took the role, out side of a stage show, some commercials, and some YouTube shorts.
It is possible that music rights are preventing them from streaming certain shows and specials. We still haven't seen an official release of the full Muppet Family Christmas due to rights issues.
Considering the missing posts, it would appear that a mod has been through here. I wonder what I have missed.
It seems that people have had different experiences with Steve. Some positive, some negative. That is to be expected with anyone. I think there is no question that Steve was not...
It was said that Matt was doing something Steve wouldn't do and that Steve didn't do it as a conscious decision out of respect for Jim, implying that Matt was disrespecting Jim.
So Steve never appeared with Kermit next to him at something that was not meant to be taped? Like say... here:
Or maybe here:
How about here?:
Steve did it all the time at conventions and there is nothing wrong with that. Matt did it on a cruise ship panel which is even less high...
No Muppet projects were shelved for Happy Time murders because the Jim Henson Company did not own The Muppets when they started production. As was pointed out, the film had a 10 year production time line.
To be honest, I do agree with you. The film we got was a shell of what we were...
Nice to see something. Sadly no Muppets tonight, muppet show, mtm, mfs, none of the direct to video stuff....
Just the same stuff they've had in digital form for awhile.
Its personal opinion, but I think the show is better. It allows for the complex story to unfold and shows us an expansion of the world. To me, the show can stand on its own, but the movie needs the show to be more enjoyable.
I like Steve as a performer. However, the Dark Crystal bit is just full of venom towards a project he himself worked on and was incredibly important to Jim Henson. He rips into it because he was not invited back to work on the Netflix show. It's sad. He gas lights his fans, pretending to be...
I honestly thought that they would bring Mira back to life with the bottle of essence. Boy was I wrong. I guess you cant have too many happy endings in a series that we all know eventually ends in the near complete genocide of an entire species.
This show is so much more interesting than the...
The movie had a ton of potential, but was ruined by the studio. I'd like to see a directors cut with much of the original story intact, but we didnt get that.
It took so long to make and paled in comparison to the hype. Plus it came out in a time when it's core audience doesn't find this...
The Muppets kind of missed the nostalgia boat. Right now 90s nostalgia is in. They werent in their prime then. 80s nostalgia was around its peak when "The Muppets" (2011) came out. 70s nostalgia was big in the early 2000's.
Interesting. I wonder if by unscripted they mean something like a family friendly "puppet up" or a show with a loose premise.
Considering all the Marvel and Star Wars shows it is nice to see some room made for a single Muppet show... even if it has no script....
Part of me was hoping for that...
I was looking forward to this ornament as I display them like mini figures, but the flocking.... I liked the digital render they showed with what I thought was texturing in the plastic. Im just not a big fan of flocked stuff. It gets dust over time and sheds too.
I may still get this one...
