Old School Sesame coming to DVD October 2006

Or it could mean that we'll see seasons 6-10 on Vol. 2, seasons 11-15 on Vol. 3, and so forth. I wouldn't protest to that.

Anybody like the Wayans Brothers films?

I don't really care much for their movies, but I love In Living Color.

Best Disney Movie of the 90's

I'd have to go with The Lion King, with Aladdin as a close second, and the Toy Story movies not too far behind.

Old School Sesame coming to DVD October 2006

Is there any confirmation that the title is "Nostalgia Box Set - The First Five Years"? The title on Amazon is listed as "Nostalgia Set First Fiv", and since the running time is 300 minutes, I'm wondering if it's actually the first five episodes. I would be a bit disappointed if that were the...

    ...And the Word is "No"!

I also found the song and its visuals to be a bit intimidating as a kid, but I wasn't scared outright. That said, this is one of my favorites.

Curious George author murdered two days before movie release

That is just f***ing tragic. (Pardon my language - that's just the exact thought that popped into my mind when I read this.)

Classic Sesame on Electric Company DVD's

While we're on the subject of SS/TEC crossovers - are there any segments that were seen on both shows? I've seen some people claim that the pinball numbers were seen on TEC, but somehow I doubt that, because from what I've gathered, TEC generally didn't cover numbers. However, there definitely...

    "The Electric Company" on SesameWorkshop.com

I'm hoping for complete SS episodes myself - in particular, "best of" sets containing 16-20 episodes from different eras. Let's say a different set for every period of five years, up to season 20 or maybe 25. And for what it's worth, the Electric Company DVD set contains episodes that were...

Weird Al watches The Muppet Show! :-)

Judging from UHF, The Weird Al Show, the Al-TV specials, his contributions to the I Love The (decade) series, and quite a few of his songs, it's clear that Weird Al just seems to be infatuated with TV in general. It's probably his #2 obsession behind music. So of course it stands to reason...

    Has Sesame become less educational?

I wouldn't necessarily say SS is less educational, but it is definately geared to a slightly younger audience these days (especially with Elmo's World which I can't stomach), and it has less to offer for the adults who watch the show with their kids and/or grew up with it.
