    Nigel questions.

You mean before he hired Gags Beasley?

    TMS Logo Question

From memory the logo itself never changed; it was just the flat board that was designed differently from Season Two onwards.

    Nigel questions.

Strictly speaking Nigel appears in at least 119 episodes of The Muppet Show, usuallu conducting the house band during the opening and closing themes (Is he there in the Loretta Lynn episode?)

According to Amazon, it's released under the Delta Label and the date of release was August 1st 1996.

A Christmas Together - CD version

I'm thinking of buying this off Amazon but according to some of the reviews, the CD version is an edited version of the original vinly release in that some songs have been cut. Is this right, only one reviewer said that her copy has all the tracks and is not edited; Amazon only lists 10 songs.

    The Great Gonzo the Great

Characters/personalities change all the time. I suspect that the writers (quite rightly) realized that characters like Gonzo tended to be slightly 1-Dimensional in the first season of TMS and so expanded/changed the character so he became less of a one-joke character. I mean, would TMS have...

    New Zealand Screenings

I'm creating this thread especially for any Muppet films/TV shows that are being screened/will be screened in New Zealand. I can tell you that "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" will be screening on Sky Movies 1 during the following days and times... Christmas Day - 2.30pm Boxing...

    Uncle Deadly's last appearence.

I think he appears in the Fifth Season as well. Marty Feldman episode in "Girlfriend of the Whirling Dervish" song?

"I've grown accustomed to your face" in 30 years special

I checked my copy again last night and the caption read 1964.

    TMS Juliet Prowse Pilot

Just a thought, but I think the guide for the broadcast version of the Juliet Prowse episode should be amended, especially since some of the queries/comments that were raised have now been answered with the viewing of the original version.

"I've grown accustomed to your face" in 30 years special

I've just checked my off-air copy and the year given is 1958, so that suggests that it's from the Tonight Show.

I'd Like to Be Under the Sea.

The correct title of the song is "Octopus's Garden"; it was recorded by the Beatles and can be found on their 1969 album "Abbey Road".

    Episode question.

IIRC it's the Joan Baez episode. The line actually goes... B: Kermit, what does it mean when people walk on your head? K: It means you should stop sleeping on the floor. Or words to that effect.

    Gladys and The Swedish Chef

That was the Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge episode wasn't it? Gonzo had to pay up because Kermit was allowing him to do the juggling a piano with one hand on a tightrope act.

    Gladys and The Swedish Chef

That's the Marisa Berenson episode you're thinking of.

A question about the sequence of Season 1

Going back to the original question - Why is Scooter introduced in the Jim Nabors when he's already appeared in the show? I've got a theory, and it's because that was supposed to be his first episode. We know that the Juliet Prowse episode was re-worked with the Scooter/Muppy storyline...

More about the Kaye Ballard episode

I was about to post that as well - Carol comes from behind the curtains and tries to perform her Lonely Asparagus sketch. She gets through the first few lines, but then the band plays the rest of the theme and cut her off. After Zoot blows his sax Carol (off camera) says "Oh rats!"

More about the Kaye Ballard episode

Further to that... Mahna Mahna pops up at the end of the Juliet Prowse episode, the Swedish Chef appears with Statler and Waldorf at the end of the Jonathan Winters episode, and the noise Inspector appears at the end of the Dizzy Gillespie episode; Astoria replaces Statler in the same episode as...

More about the Kaye Ballard episode

The Julie Andrews episode doesn't feature an end joke from Statler and Waldorf, and neither does the Mac Davis episode. The Valerie Harper episode features only Waldorf at the end. Kermit appears in the box with Statler and Waldorf at the end twice (Marisa Berenson and John Denver) and Gonzo...

Fozzie Bear: Not as interesting in the beginning?

I think it's also because he's not as "cuddly" as he becomes in the later seasons and he has more of a "throaty" voice as well. This version of Fozzie is also a bit more "naughty" than he becomes from Season Two onwards - he has a tendency to be "mean" towards other characters but eventually he...
