"Hello, I am Vendaface...from the Cybernetic Co."

In one word - No. The TV version of Hitchhikers didn't air until c.1981.

Your Thoughts: TMS Season 1 DVD

Oh, okay. Do you happen to know what the original UK running order was? I've got the London airdates from an article on bbc.co.uk . http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/guide/articles/m/muppetshowthe_7774625.shtml

Your Thoughts: TMS Season 1 DVD

They are NOT in Production Order. The Production Order is different, as was pointed out in a thread I created which listed the taping order for all 120 episodes on the Classic Muppets board. My guess is that this is the order that the episodes were aired in originally in the UK.

Missing closing number on TMS Season 1 DVD!

I think you ought to go back to the main page and read up on the DVD set. Five numbers have been cut owing to unclearable music rights.

What Season was "IF" performed on TMS?

It appeared in the Cleo Laine episode. The episode featured guest Puppeteer Bruce Schwartz.

    TMS Recording Order

I've been attempting to put together the original recording order of all 120 episodes of TMS. Don't know how accurate I am, and I reckon I could be wrong with one or two episodes but here we go, for starters, with the first Season. Connie Stevens (Jan. 19 – 21, 30; Feb. 1, 1976) Juliet...

    Happy Birthday/Anniversary Kermit

Television New Zealand had an item about Kermit's 50th Anniversary on TV One's news. The item was reported by Wendy Petrie and included clips from the Juliet Prowse and Ethel Merman episodes of TMS, as well as some clips of Jim Henson, Sesame Street, old B/W footage of Kermit and Rowlf, the CBS...

    First season closing credits

Interesting, because when TV 3 last screened the series, almost every First Season episode had the left-justified credits, with a few exceptions; the Florence Henderson show being one of them. I've also seen some Second Season episodes with the left-justified credits including Rudolf Nureyev...

    TMS Juliet Prowse Pilot

Interesting - Christopher Finch mentions in his Of Muppets and Men book the Juliet Prowse episode and says that during it, Kermit flirts with a chorus girl named Roxanne. That scene was totally removed from the broadcast episode, so I wonder if Finch had access to the original pilot or if he...

    Gonzo singing "Act Naturally"

It was the UK Spot in the Victor Borge episode.

That's okay, you didn't put me to any trouble at all. :-)

    Non-singing guests

My memory is that he spoke the lines but didn't sing. In saying that, did he sing his first number or did he speak it?

    Non-singing guests

Season One: Peter Ustinov, Harvey Korman, Phyllis Diller, Avery Schreiber, Juliet Prowse, Mummenschanz Season Two: Don Knotts, Steve Martin, George Burns, John Cleese Season Three: Spike Milligan(?) Season Four: Victor Borge(?), Jonathan Winters, Doug Henning Season Five: Jean-Pierre...

    First season closing credits

Well.... Peter Ustinov - The Hatrack is credited as one of the writers; does that count? ;-) Julie Andrews - Zoot's last note is replaced by a Moo. Oh, and the camera stays on the stage as the end credits run, with Julie asking Kermit and Fozzie if they've seen her cow and even describing...

:-) Thanks for the kind words. I've now posted a thread about cuts made to episodes in NZ.

    Cuts made in New Zealand

When TV 3 in NZ (owned by CanWest) aired the series in 1992, they made a large number of cuts to every episode. The following is a list of the cuts that were made, based on the info from the episode guides on this site. For the moment, I can only give you the cuts made to the first two seasons...

    First season closing credits

'fraid not. Most of that is coming from memory, and unfortunately I don't have any full episodes on video tape.... Actually, strictly speaking that's not true. I have the Buddy Rich episode in full (sans UK Skit) but it's the version with Zoot blowing a bubble, but more importantly I don't...

    First season closing credits

I certainly can. In fact, I posted what some of them were on IMDB under the Crazy Credits section. :-) Harry Belafonte - one of the Masked dancers blows the Sax note at the end (on stage as well). Roger Miller - Zoot as a Chicken blows the final note. Dudley Moore - Animal starts to hit...

Your Thoughts: TMS Season 1 DVD

I can understand the arguments in both camps - on the one hand it is disappointing that cuts have been made, but on the other I understand why the cuts have been made. I sympathise completely with those in the first camp - when TV 3 in NZ (owned by CanWest) played re-runs in the 1990's, they...

No, I was merely answering the query that someone had earlier as to what the last shot was on that particular episode.
