That wouldn't even work. Guy Smiley is too straight-laced for The Muppet Show. Besides that, Gameshow Hosts are notorious for being a bit pompous and I don't think Guy would fit in with the other Muppets.
With all due respect Rkunkler, putting up links to stuff on youtube is not a good idea, especially when you consider that you'd be linking to pirated material.
I would be a bit surprised if Disney admitted that they are able to release Season Two uncut. With music rights being the way they are, you never can tell.
I think the best way to look at this is to keep an open mind. Hope that makes sense.
I think that one lists the US airdates.
A better one is from the epguides.com web site which lists the airdates from the Midlands region. Oddly enough that one lists George Burns twice and omits Dudley Moore.
Yeah, right! I don't ever remember Guy Smiley ever coming up with one-liners, pulling expressions (like Kermit regularly did) or even breaking the fourth wall to his audience in *any* of his appearances on Sesame Street.
In the episode guide entry for the original version of the Juliet Prowse ep. it's stated that there is a frame of Zoot and Crazy Harry in the Joel Grey episode between the shots of Rowlf playing the Piano and the Female Chorus Line.
Well, I've slowed those two shots right down on my DVD copy...
In the original version of the Pilot, is there any audience laughter during the opening theme when the chorus sing the opening lines?
What about during the shot of Animal playing his drums after Zoot's solo in the closing credits?
Oh, and were the credits the US-centred version or the...
Kermit was only naked when his collar was removed. Otherwise, he was more "overdressed" when wearing a tux or costume. And I don't remember Kermit being less calm as TMS progressed over the years. In fact, I would have said that he did become more calmer as the show progressed.
As for Guy...
Yes, but Miss Piggy was trying to make Kermit jealous in that episode and I get the impression that was part of her scheme and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
To further clarify (or confuse) the issue - the Jim Nabors episode is the *only* episode where Miss Piggy is referred to as Piggy Lee. Every other episode she is just either Miss Piggy or plain old Piggy. Same goes for the movies.
As Joey points out, they were usually introduced as Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.
As for Floyd making more appearances than Dr. Teeth, that's only because Floyd had more potential as a backstage character than some of the other members through the numerous wisecracks he had a tendency to...
Dil - neither of your posts make any sense whatsoever. From memory, the Muppet Labs sketches don't feature any music that couldn't be cleared so I'm sure all scenes featuring Beaker will be there when/if the second season set is released.
The Muppets are only a small part of Disney, and...
That's from the 2nd version of the Juliet Prowse episode. Muppy is J. P. Grosse's favourite pet, or at least that's what Scooter claimed. Muppy had been given his own dressing room by Kermit (albeit reluctantly) and he now wanted to change the title of the show. After reading it, Kermit went...
Which is odd, considering that Rhino Records, who own the Monkees back catalogue have constantly been releasing material since the late 1980's on a (fairly) regular basis. Look at the Missing Links series, the CD reissues of the original LPs and even the current Deluxe reissues. Monkees fans...
