    DVD predicitons for 2007

I think the reason why Disney might be reluctant to release Muppet Babies on DVD is because all the non-Muppet clips would have to be cleared for release.

Any chances of little known Henson projects on DVD?

    Is that an official release?

Not when you link to copyright material.

So if they actually aired the Muppet Show...

Again it would depend on the broadcaster and also it might depend on what tapes they play. Some tapes have got the UK spots and others don't.

So if they actually aired the Muppet Show...

No, because the rights for all the pieces of music were secured for TV broadcast right from the beginning and therefore don't have to be cleared. It's only for commercial release that you have to renegotiate for music to be cleared, although thankfully some companies (such as ITC) had the...

    Under-used guest stars

I think one of the big things is that the guests were only a small part of the show; the Muppets were the stars and the Humans had to play second fiddle. Don't forget that one of the key reasons the show was successful was because the guest stars played against type (if you like).

    1976 U.K. I.T.V. air dates?

My info actually came from an online friend of mine who has an episode guide book for different TV shows (he calls it Kaleidoscope and I seem to remember something about it being the title of a very good episode guide book or something). Anyway, he checked his guide with the epguides.com...

    1976 U.K. I.T.V. air dates?

Some new info has come to hand regarding the UK dates. Apparently there was a compilation episode screened sometime in the run. Also, the Paul Williams episode was repeated the previous week before Ethel Merman's episode was shown in the Midlands region. Oh, and it would appear that the...

Sam and Friends - Archive status

What exactly is the archive status of Sam and Friends. In other words, how many episodes still exist today? Muppet Wiki lists 15 - is that it or are there more? Also, was the show always in B/W or did it shift to colour towards the end?

    I don't believe that at all. ;-)

    Worst TMS guest stars

That's because I think most of us were flabbergasted at Dil's comment about Raquel's opening number being too sexy. Jim Henson obviously found nothing wrong with it otherwise he would've made her wear more clothing. IISR that Linda Ronstadt wore a sexy costume in her opening number so why...

I have two copies of the special taped off different channels in different years and *neither* of my copies have that "scene".

TMS Season 2 coming summer 2007

Hopefully they'll include some of the 2nd season trailers, as well as an audio commentary or two.

Danny - do you know which episode London never screened?

Sam, Harry, and Yorick on 30 years Special

Fozzie introduces them after the clip from The Tonight Show that the Muppets hosted in 1979. Yorick is on the main table and eats a napkin, before moving over towards Kermit where he begins to eat his finger.

My Version of Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

Out of interest Tim, were the scenes set in the projector room the last to do of the whole film or were there still bits to do? The reason I ask is because I wondered if you got to watch the film like the Muppets do in that scene. Also, were all the scenes set in the projector room done on...

    Worst TMS guest stars

Perfect in general or perfect for the role? In the case of the former - no one (not even the Muppets) are perfect. In the case of the latter - of all the Muppets that took on the role of introducing acts or being host of the show throughout the whole episode...none were as good as Kermit...
