Does anyone know if a soundtrack for A Muppet Family Christmas was ever released, only I've heard some of the songs on the Internet (not on MC Radio) and they are studio recordings a la the various Muppet movies and not the TV versions.
Hi Phillip,
The problem is at my end unfortunately - I'm still on dial-up. Have been trying to persuade family members that we should upgrade but it seems to be falling on deaf ears at the moment.
My problem concerns buffering. When the Muppet Central Radio window comes up, the volume bars are red and keep scrolling back and forth. When they finally stop scrolling and turn green the radio is behind by approx. three songs.
I tried the Live365 help section and figured it to be a...
When myself and others say the "original Juliet Prowse and Connie Stevens Pilots", we are referring to the original edits of those episodes, as opposed to the broadcast versions. Check the TMS episode guide on this site if you're still confused as to what we're referring to.
And where did...
Actually, the main reason why it's so early in my order is down to the fact that not only was it recorded before Rita Moreno's episode, but also (and perhaps more importantly) because the next topic due to be discussed in the Panel sketch (according to Kermit) is "Is conversation a dying art?"...
I've now watched all 24 episodes of TMS season one again and have come up with an alternate running order that I think makes the backstage plots flow better than the official order.
Note this is an *alternate* order and I'm not suggesting that it should be officially adopted or anything. I...
With respect Dil, your request is just as bad as asking where you can buy pirated DVDs of TMS. It quite clearly states on the main page of YouTube that you are not allowed to post copyright material. I'm fully aware that people do it anyway, but the fact is they shouldn't.
ADDENDUM:
If...
I wonder if you should also include a rule on linking to Henson material on YouTube, as that comes under copyright and in some ways is related to the rule about pirated material.
Ummm...maybe because TMS is only part of Disney's back catalogue and they don't want to saturate the DVD market with just TMS and nothing else.
I had a good laugh over that post. Well done.
That (possibly) but more because it's so obscure. The show was only screened in Washington DC over 50 years ago and very little of it has been shown over the years except clips as part of various docos and specials.
Of course in saying that, the surviving episodes *could* be released on DVD...
The special has aired on free to air TV in NZ twice. I saw it first on Christmas Day 1987 and still have my off-air copy from that screening. This version has no ad-caps (the scenes dissolve from one to another), the title caption is at the start of the special, there's no shot of Elmo and...
Forgive me but why do you have this preconceived notion that almost *every* thread has to be a "hot" one?!?!
Nevertheless...
The two original Prowse and Stevens Pilots probably should be left for Season Five, as should the Of Muppets and Men special. The Muppets Go Hollywood should have...
ISTR that Telly *is* there amongst the carollers. None of the full-bodied Muppets appear in the special, nor do any of the various TMS Monsters. Is the cast list on the article on MuppetWiki correct as I think there are some mistakes on it.
Oh, and Big Bird's line about loving carols is...
I seem to recall a Muppet Special/Doco dating from circa the early 80's. Don't remember much except that I think the first scene had Big Bird walking into Jim Henson's office and putting his feet up on the desk.
Anyone able to help me out here?
