    Pics of FR puppeteers?

We know what the main six puppeteers looked like, and "Down at Fraggle Rock" shows us some others, but there were so many characters and I'm just curious as to what their versatile performers looked like. Also, when you watch "Down at Fraggle Rock", you can see a lot of the performers but in my...

The late Carol Bolt, writer of Episode 15, "I Don't Care"

I LOVED this script! It's full of great scenes and juxtapositions (a chief element of FR, drawing ties between the different characters and worlds, something that Jerry Juhl did LOTS of). The Hall of Justice scene, the Trash Heap scene, Boober's "no deposit, no return" magic chant, Boober...

    TMS outline- Buddy Hackett!

This one was so close to done I decided to just finish it. Hackett was a comic actor known for his funny-sounding voice. He co-starred in "The Music Man" and provided the voice of Scuttle the seagull in Disney's "The Little Mermaid". He worked with the Muppets just once, providing the voice...

Improvements you wish they'd thought of (TMS)

TMS is my favorite show of all time, and hardly an episode is a dud. However, there are always, as with any series, a few missteps. What's worse is if you look at an episode and see immediately that something didn't work, and it's seeming obviousness to you makes you wonder why it wasn't...

    MC members

I know of a few Henson people who are registered members here, but I'm sure there are some I don't know about. The ones I do recall: -Terry Angus (of FR: Storyteller, Brio the minstrel, Morris Fraggle) -Karen Prell -Jerry Nelson -Secret Squirrel (whoever he/she may be) Anyone know of...

Should there have been more secondary Fraggle eps?

I couldn't spell out the whole question in the thread title, but basically what I'm asking is whether or not you would've liked there to have been more FR episodes centered around secondary Fraggle characters, such as Feeny, Large Marvin, Tosh, Lou, and Marlon. The only one I can think of is...

    My 1000th post!

I wanted to post this just to have a 1000th post but to not have it be about anything other than the fact that it is my 1000th post. Finally a Senior Member, after almost 3 1/2 years! David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole

    TMS outline- Tennessee Ernie Ford!

Ford was a radio and television personality and country and gospel singer, most famous for the song "Sixteen Tons". Submitted for your approval: "It's The Muppet Show, with our very special guest star Mr. Tennessee Ernie Ford!" SPECIAL GUEST STAR: TENNESSEE ERNIE FORD September 12, 2005...

    Gobo & Mokey

Someone else pointed this out over a year ago, but did anyone else notice the sparks/romantic implications between Gobo & Mokey in Season One? Some examples: #7 I Want to be You: Gobo ignores Red and clings to Mokey (perhaps Red likes Gobo a little bit, tho she'd never admit it) #22 Mokey's...

    Baby Cotterpin?

In episode #19, "The Great Radish Famine", during the "Doozer Knitting Song", there's a baby/toddler Fraggle in front of Wingnut, voiced by Kathy Mullen. The next season, we are introduced to Wingnut & Flange's daughter, Cotterpin, voiced by Kathy Mullen. Anyone else think that maybe this...

    Broadcast rights vs. mechanical license?

Well, by now we all know about the songs/sketches omitted from TMS Season One on DVD. What I want to know is, knowing that the episodes run in uncut and cut for time formats with those omitted sketches, would Disney still be able to broadcast them with the missing material, or do the music...

    Jerry Nelson's vocal range

Not long ago, I actually calculated based on what we've heard, in terms of his vocal extremities, and I think that Jerry, from at least his late 30s to late 40s, had at least a good 3 1/2 octave range. As Thog, in songs like "Real Live Girl" with Mia Farrow and "Oh Babe, What Would You Say?"...

    Which element is more important?

This is to ferret out where our Muppet priorities lie (although I think I know the answer already- I'm kind of just wanting to confirm). Would you trade special features for a fully uncut season? That is to say, if the cost of restoring all 24 episodes in a season to their uncut state could...

    Your Classic Fraggle Episodes

I was thinking about this in regard to the single-disc releases, but which episodes of FR do you consider to be series classics, over and above other episodes? I think the first episode and the final trilogy would be considered classic FR, but what others do you consider classic? David...

Request for scans from one TMS sketch

I am hoping to make a new avatar but am in need of scans. I'd like to get as many pics as I can from Wayne & Wanda's "Some Enchanted Evening" from the Avery Schreiber episode, but I lack the equipment to make the scans. Could someone help me out? Thanks in advance. David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole

Why were the last 26 split into two seasons?

FR ran from 82-86, so mathematically that'd be four seasons. There are also 96 episodes, which works out to 24 per season (same as TMS). But it's always listed as five. First two seasons are straightforward, 24 per, then Season Three is only 22, then the last 26- which were taped apparently...

    TMS outline- David Ogden Stiers

Or, "Gonzo's Fashion Show". For those of you who don't recognize the name, Stiers came to fame as the snooty, Harvard-educated surgeon Maj. Charles Emerson Winchester III, for which he was twice Emmy-nominated. He has also guest starred on numerous TV shows, and does voice work in Disney...

    Favorite episodes

The "Least Favorite..." thread is still around, so I figured I'd restart this one. Mine: -"Change of Address"- need I explain? -"The Bells of Fraggle Rock"- leave it to Jim Henson & co. to use the archetype of a failed hero story as a meditation on faith and religion, with an ending that...
