What about "Like A Virgin"? That, "Material Girl" and "4 Minutes" are pretty much the only Madonna songs I really know... (that last one only because I saw it in the "Get Smart" movie which really was a pretty awful version of the TV show... though it got some things right.) Oh yeah- and "Like A...
When I first saw Mr. Popo I actually didn't initially think he looked exactly African-American anyway...Middle Eastern/Indian sounds closer.
I can't remember too much of this stuff in Asterix offhand, but I love that comic series too! Uderzo did a great job with delivering a consistently...
YAY for Labyrinth!:news::super:
(If we ever expand these smilies again, it'd be great to have one for Hoggle or Ludo, maybe- something to represent one of my favorite Henson fantasy movies.)
True- that was a neat way to get a fleeting reference in for Muppet Babies. Though there may have been room to have a flashback scene, I don't know that it was necessary for this movie. [wouldn't have minded a few extended scenes here and there though- it got to the point where they were trying...
Yeah- that's what I was saying... I generally don't like political correctness, but it depends on what we're talking about. I don't know that anime creators in Japan were purposefully trying to denigrate blacks with this character's depiction in Dragonball Z.... but I wouldn't know much on that-...
I hope it will be enough to finally get The Muppet Show Seasons 4 and 5 on DVD! (Not to mention all the other Muppet projects that have been screaming for DVD release- "The Muppets at Walt Disney World", "John Denver and The Muppets: A Christmas Together", "The Muppets Go to the Movies", "Of...
This may have been posted elsewhere, but I thought I'd post it here just in case-

Wow- nice to see Sesame Street again cross international borders to reach children all over the world and help improve their early...
Well, I think it's more than just that- we do need to worship Jesus because He is the all powerful God (but I see your point about Him being different from the Greek gods and He definitely is)- and we definitely need to follow Jesus' example of compassion and love. That's actually one of the...
That could be because the percentage of black people in Japan is pretty small. I would be surprised if that is shown in anime in the US and no censorship of some sort is done.
Cool- I would love to see Muppet Babies get released on DVD! It was neat to see an interview with Dave Coulier (who I also love on "Full House" of course- and "America's Funniest People":halo:)
Thanks for your comments too, Dr.Tooth- I love the Brainy Smurf comparsion- awesome! lol.:laugh: I understand how it can look like finger wagging to quote Bible verses, but I don't think it should be that way. If I quote a Bible verse, it's because it's touched me so much that I want to share...
Well, I know you've said you've stepped out of this conversation, fragglerockr, so don't know if you'll see this- but I just wanted to clarify one last thing. As you mentioned the "It Gets Better" campaign- I am fairly familiar with that. I am also fairly familiar with the Matthew Sheppard law...
This has probably been discussed before, but I wonder again if Elmo's World was ever spun off into a show by itself how Sesame Street would fare? I suppose that would disrupt the whole structure of the show since Elmo is undeniably a HUGE part of the show. I suppose this would only increase...
