If Hasbro's improvements and surprises in their SW line are any indication what they plan for Sesame Street, I have no doubt we're all in for some pleasant days ahead.
That being said, we have to keep in mind their target audience. Highly detailed figures would be nice, but the reality of it...
I wouldn't recommend it either, I just thought it was a great tutorial for someone regarding construction of their own Kermit puppet....
I thought he did a great job with it
I came across this last night, 6 in total with a few videos with the puppet that followed.....

Nicely done I thought
I've found doll hair and glasses in the doll section of the local craft store in the past. I guess it would depend on the size of the puppet as well, but it may be a good starting point for you?
Another suggestion would be IParty or party stores like that that sell the "Groucho" glasses...
Really, so half inch is thick enough to support a fur covering and eyes on top of the head, or do you somehow reinforce the eyes?
I've been using inch thick for the heads because I didn't think half inch would be thick enough.......
I just purchased 5 yards from Distinctivefabric, shipping was only $17.00 from CA to MA.........
$20.00 for long fur, plenty of colors to chose, and they have one called "stringy" that I'm going to check out.
Go to eBay and look under plastic balls, I had seen some solid (no holes) white wiffle balls being offered in different amounts. They are roughly 4 inches in diameter I think?
Or maybe he's just happy being Elmo, if it's not broken, why fix it?
There are alot of actors/Performers who grew to hate the character(s) that made them special, Kevin on the other hand, seems very thankful for the opportunity that "threw" itself at him years ago! :D
