One of my professors once told my class, once you get down to the bare bones, most stories have probably already been told. You just have to figure out a way to tell a story in a way that is fresh and unique and will appeal to its audience.
I don't think it's likely at all to sue a big company and win over fan work, but I am sure they don't want to worry about legal fees over something so trivial.
And it's true in many fields as far as unsolicited submissions are concerned. That's why you are more likely to have an amateur your...
I was just thinking about what sets great openings apart from the simply good or mediocre openings? Though a catchy opening theme can be great in and of itself, there are other elements that can really add to the memorability of an opening.
I find that opening themes that serve as somewhat of a...
I do think you showed a link to these a while back, though they're worth seeing again. Great job with them. I don't play SIMS myself, but I do know it can be really hard to customize them.
Something about seeing humanoid Fraggle Rock SIMS is a little weird for me. But you've done an excellent...
I can't put my finger on it, but I think the one thing about Scooter that I can nitpick on is his posture... I'm not sure, but he looks a bit... bulky for lack of better word.
I think his voice is fine though. Heck, I'm just ecstatic to know he's being used! Hopefully, the future is looking up...
I agree. I think that's part of why I like the Murray Has a Little Lamb segments. It's refreshing to see Muppet characters interacting with real life people. It's one thing to see them with actors in a sound stage, and not that that is a bad thing by any means, but to see Murray and Ovejita...
Studio DC wasn't something that impressed me from the start. This special on the other hand, we've heard mostly good things. And good is an understatement, I believe.
I see why you would be cautious, but I for one am excited.
Aww, geeesh! I missed today's episode! I took one thirty second look at the street scene a few minutes after it had begun and figured it was a rerun. Just a lesson that you should give something a better chance than a few seconds before deciding if you're going to watch it or not.
I would have...
That seems extremely-amazingly-awesome! I'm just sad that I don't live near NY and probably won't be able to go there in the foreseeable future.
I hope people who do frequent NYC will take lots of pictures.
I remember watching this as a kid and for some reason, the whole drugs thing went over my head... Which is really weird considering that was what the thing was about. I was just so hyped about seeing all my favorite cartoon characters in one place, I guess. That, and I was really young. To young...
And Calvin and Hobbes, as previously mentioned, is also a good example of this.
I find it pleasantly surprising to see a successful comic that hasn't been milked for all it's worth. Sometimes, mass merchandising and TV deals can really leave a product stripped of its sincerity. Not always. But...
I guess a better way to put it was that he must have loved, or at least somehow got some kind of enjoyment out of comics or the process. I would hate to imagine he went through his entire cartooning career with no joy for the medium.
That's true, but sometimes I think it works better in some cases than others. A good example would be Peanuts. For the most part, the comics and the strips went together. They both had the same spirit, and both were Charles Schulz's vision. And he must have had a lot of love for his comic. Even...
