So what are the thoughts on the collar? Is it part of Kermit's body. Or just something he wears. I think the second makes more sense. Frogs don't have collars. Also it would explain why the collar is different over the years.
I have an idea of why Kermit looks so different in these years. This was him during his awkward puberty phase!
What are the thoughts on the collar? Is it part of his body? Or just something he wears? That's my thought. Mostly because frogs don't have collars or anything close to that. But also...
I have read that the situation with John Carter was inter-company politics. The execs who green lighted it were no longer at Disney by the time it was released. But the new people who took over had no enthusiasm for it and did not bother to hype it.
The Muppets are a completely different...
Well "Comedy Caper" is really a broad and generic term. Tons of movies with little in common could be called that. I totally understand why hearing it in relationship to the Muppets would invoke The Great Muppet Caper. But it probably would be completely different.
EDIT I agree with everything...
Does anyone know? I don't need to know actual wages. I am just been curious.
Given the huge amount of appearances the Muppets make. From actual feature films and television movies or specials. Guests on talk shows. Commercials. Promotions for all these projects. Plus other things I am not...
Thank you very much! I am basically fully recovered. Its like it never happened. I am going to paraphrase - Life is like a movie, and I am going to write my own ending. Not let an accident effect the rest of my life.
Funny, I am just reading this thread today and as I read it every idea I had I would see was already suggested BUT ONE....
I think there is another story to tell, the affect the Muppets has had on all of us in our lives. A documentary about the fans.
It could focus on a number of us...
I have wondered if Letters From Santa being on NBC was because it was completing an older deal for two Muppet films on NBC. Which started with A Very Muppet Christmas. Which would predate the Disney sale. This is just speculation but it would make sense.
A Duck? No way a Penguin! Lots of Penguins Penguins Penguins Penguins Penguins

I agree, like I said it was a series of missteps I only focused on OZ because it was most recent. But it was the latest following others. Of course hardly anyone saw Muppets in Space in theaters, the box office numbers prove it. Its hard to know what its reputation is beyond fans.
Coming from...
Too get this back on the actual topic of this thread, I can't help but wonder how much OZ left a bad taste with general audiences towards the Muppets. For all the critical acclaim the new film got I wonder if some people where dubious about it due to what came before.
Make no mistake the new...
I love it! Great choice of character.
I been thinking of getting a tattoo myself. I am not sure if I would, it would have to be meaningful to me. I have been thinking of two obsessions Superman or the Beatles....
Not sure why I never thought of the obvious one which goes much earlier than...
Thanks for the info jvcaroll!
A missed opportunity has occurred to me. There are thematic connections between the real Wizard of Oz and The Muppet Movie. Both are road films about a new groups of friends who meet each other while seeking their dreams. Plus the two most famous songs about...
I knew it be not good or even bad but this is AWFUL! I don't think anything with the Muppets has every been this horrible.
For one, I can't imagine what a young child would think of it. With no knowledge of the Muppet characters it tells you nothing of who they normally are. Sure they have...
I just got Wizard of Oz from my library. I have never seen it because of all the bad things I have heard about it. I must of passed on the first airing because it looked like a bad idea.
YET I am going to check it out due to morbid curiosity!
Sony only has home video distribution rights to Muppets Take Manhattan, Muppets from Space, and Kermit's Swamp Years.
But I doubt they own the actual movies. Whenever the deal with Sony expires, which predates the sale to Disney, those rights will be returned to The Jim Henson Company. Which...
Thanks for the info. I figured it was fake without ever seeing it. Its way too early for any type of poster. Also unnecessary, we know that another film is being developed already. The earliest a real poster like this could appear would be when they have chosen a release date.
