Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
A comedy caper? i don't see why it has to be as soon as humanly possible, let them get it right.
i really hope it's not that similar to GMC- i was kinda expecting something completely different
also, frankly, piggy has always reacted extreme to stuff like a peck on the cheek or a hug. remember episodes of the muppet show with annie sue? i really don't think that's out of character for her, she IS that territorial
i agree, the 90s was a weird time for the K/P relationship. i blame it on steve and frank not having the decades of easy rapport and closeness that jim and frank had- like frank himself has said before, there's always something of the soul of the puppeteer that comes through in the characters...
that site though, had The Muppets making about 40 million in first week dvd/blu ray sales, which is pretty awesome
speaks to how passionate the fans of this film were. i'm guaranteeing the next one has a huge opening, due to how much people loved this one
does anyone know what the current worldwide gross is? boxofficemojo hasn't updated the numbers in a while, but it's got to be over 160 now
i was just curious
i'd love to get those specials too. i think there's about 8 total from the jim henson era that i'd love to have. go hollywood, a christmas together, go to the movies, fantastic miss piggy show, rocky mountain holiday, a celebration of 30 years, muppet family christmas (unedited), walt disney...
yeah, i mean, if it had to lose, couldn't it have at least lost to harry potter? that would make more sense to me at least. who's voting for these things?
oh yeah, me too. i will say that frank's piggy after jim died got even more outrageous and chaotic on her tv appearances than she ever was before- i think that was due to frank kinda just going all out with her
but even before then, during her 80s appearances she would kinda interrupt people...
i think eric is really good with piggy and i love the way she's been looking lately
if there's one thing in her appearances that i think should be there, it's a bit more spontaneity. piggy always had a tendency to derail interviews and interrupt and trail off on her own thing sometimes, at...
i have a feeling they don't win, because this is one of those shows where the winner knows ahead of time, and if they did win we probably would have heard by now if they'd be making an appearance on the show
i thought she was great! i wonder if this was taped like last week or something
one thing i will say though- would it be that hard to just pull out a table in front of them when they do these things so they can move a little better? i notice this when they have kermit on some of these talk...
i know that miss piggy is love/hate with some people- but to me that is nothing but an indicator of how three dimensional her character is
because let's be honest, you can't really HATE a puppet. if you do that means you're not looking at her as a puppet, you're responding to her like she's a...
this is a really good sign because it shows how much people loved this movie. and very good point about this being the way we start reeling in the kids
i think that will happen for sure, and i think the next movie will be much bigger because of it. the people who loved this movie are going to...
